If you read OP’s original post, He said the hair on his back is being ripped off and not that he has actual back pain.

He said a hair above. I’m guessing he ment actual pain but around the mid/lower back. Not the actual hair on his back

MRI is the best thing to know what you have. I go to the Chiropractor every 6 weeks to stay in

line and have bulging 5 & 6 Discs. The more your Chiropractor knows about you, the better he

can treat you.

Every one is different!

Go to a known Chiropractor that is good and can read an MRI so he knows what to do. Good luck!

My Chiropractor does all the Fed X and UPS guys, so find one that is right for you. Best $35 I

spend, without insurance.

Took a couple weeks to get used to my seat, but its all good now. Seat is a little firm but not uncomfortable. After numerous adjustments I think I found the sweet spot. Got a 2500 mi trip in a couple weeks, that will be the real test. Hope you get yours sorted out.

I had a 3 level laminectomy and fusion (8 screws/2 rods) in January. L2-L5. My AT4, basically same seat, is more comfortable than my 18 F150 was. I can drive it all day with no problems, but then again, I got the OK to get back on my Harley too.

My point is, it's not the seat. Get your back checked.

Mine causes me lower back pain and up until this vehicle I never had issues. I drive other vehicles to include most of my adult life in the military driving stuff that definitely wasn't comfortable and have no issues with lower back pain so I don't think it is my back. I have tried EVERY adjustment on the seat, steering wheel and my body position. I have over 4000 miles now so I don't think it's a breaking in or getting used to thing.

The one thing that helped a lot was a seat cushion. It raised my back to just above the bottom contour of the lower back part of the seat and that made a big difference. I don't have much of an a$$. I don't like having a seat cushion especially for what I paid for the truck but.....

All seats are not the same, manual, 6 way, 8 way, 10 way power,,, bench, bucket, level of cloth level of leather and their cushioning materials, vibrator alert in the seat makes it stiff.

You’re like my dad - a back with a crack in it & I am always asking him if he lost his a$$ at the casino.?

All kidding aside, I hope you find some solution for your discomfort.

.02  CAT scans are fine, but no MRI's for me I have enough metal and shrapnel that I'd shoot out of the machine like it was a rail gun, just as well no doc is  cutting me up ever again. I'll stick with 5 Advils 2x/da and a little pain rather than the oxy they tried to stuff in me. And that goes for bone crackers putting their hands on me or barbers coming near me with a razor too.

Still, I find the the leather buckets in the RST better than most and at least as good as the leather buckets in the Traverse......Malibu leather buckets too, but the problem there is getting in and out - so that's reserved for the wife getting groceries, transporting the dog, parking in seedy neighborhoods, and the kids to tool around in when they fly in. And the Silvy's redesigned standard driver's pull handle (had to put one in my '16 which lacked it) and OEM flat surface running boards make getting in and out much easier and less painful. Lift anything over 30 lbs and I have to roll out of bed onto my knees the next day, takes me 15 mins to change the oil and filter and another 15 just getting on and off the creeper!

I have a bad back. Herniated disc. DDD. Driving sucks for me no matter what I do. I feel for ya. I have a lumbar support I use and sometimes have to sit on one too, these seats are overly firm.

Hey all . Im a new owner on a 19 Silverado RST 5.3 . I love the truck except for since i took delivery my back is killing me . I test drove it and no issues but the longer i sit in it the worse it is .The pain is not lower back but just a hair above . I had a 11 Denali sierra with no issues then a SRT Jeep that killed my back as well . I really thought switching back to a truck would be better . If anyone has recommendations it would be much appreciated .

It’s your back. Not the seat. Get it checked out.
