I know from past four wheel drive vehicles and if not using the front axle that much with power flowing through it, the oil tends to stay very clean ( certainly after the initial wear and oil change ). The rear is often very different though just because its being worked all the time but would depend how hard the vehicle gets worked and todays synthetic oils stay cleaner longer vs the regular oil that breaks down quicker.
The High Country automatically comes with the 4 auto/high/low transfer case where as I think the LTZ can be had with ether transfer case. The idea seems nice and yes it does indeed work good but long term reliability with a lot of use of that feature while on icy roads causing it to work the crap out of those clutches is definitely questionable so I had been told by a local tranny shop.
Fortunately it sounds like the 6L90 trans in the gas truck can have the pan dropped without some major ordeal with the exhaust system, that is a real downside of the L8T with the 10 speed due to the exhaust routing vs the Duramax to service the transmission.
I put the rears on yesterday morning. I think the old wheels look good despite being 12 years old, and a little crusty. Re-torqued the fronts after 10-15 miles after I put on the rears. Re-torqued the rears today after about 30 miles or so yesterday. I've ordered what I believe are GM 13542523 TPMS sensors/valves from Partzilla. My googling/research on this part has again been, not clear. My manual for the new truck does not appear to show a manual TPMS relearn mode. I have an older device that appears to be exacly the same as what still sells now for putting on new wheels, or even rotating. I used to use it twice a year. I was impressed that I was able to use it to calibrate the originals wheels/tires I put on before trading it in a couple weeks ago.

On my last few vehicles I've been installing full ceramic UVA/UVB/Infrared blocking window tint even over the solar glass my 2015 was fitted with. At high sun angles on cloudless days this is HUGE reduction in compressor load (interior heat from radiation) and your personal comfort. The new generations of Refrigerant are not as efficient as they once were.
I can't see my breath (meat locker style) but I can run the system on very low settings on very hot days and be quite comfortable. It keeps up well and if you use the recirculation until cooled down, it does so fairly quickly. If ultra humid stay in recirc. The blend door has a minimum; you won't suffocate.
