Anybody have that experience? I did not notice any difference at all on mine until the dealer did the MAF update that was included in your purchase price. I have AFE on other vehicles and I like theirs better but I listened to the dealer regarding voiding the engine warrantee and bought theirs. I installed it and they flashed it. I also have the Borla exhaust and other then sounding great, I really can not testify to any huge power improvements but definitely no power loss on mine.
Rparks1 Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Thanks, im going to take it to the dealer and see what they say(i did disconnect the battery before i did the install)
lapoolboy Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 One of the idiotic dealers near me says it's $110 to flash the truck after I install the kit. I told them that it is included in the purchase price and he said "only if they are paid to install it". How can dealers be so clueless? Did you guys have to argue or was your dealer smarter than my dealer?

I am having the rear brake squeak and my dealership won’t fix it and said they can’t replicate. I called the dealership where I bought truck and they said there is a TSB out on the rear brakes and they are covered but brakes now are in back order because of COVID-19. So how can one stealership state no TSB and the other pulls it right up. That right there p!sses me off. Edited November 16, 2020 by TNTSilverado

Did you guys have to argue or was your dealer smarter than my dealer? You’re not alone. My local dealer pulled the same crap on me. I printed out the very clear instructions that say “dealer: flash labor code to (labor code)” and “flash included in the price of this product”... and they said the same thing: “Oh, that’s only if we install it for you.”

Most of the service reps these days have no clue about any of this. Just like mine did when I told him my rear window was leaking, and he said I was the first one he’d heard of with that issue.
lapoolboy Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Do either of you have the instructions that come with the kit? Or a link to them?

21RST6.2LTZ Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Is this the same upgrade as come with the Z71/X31 pkg?

Anacortes Army Guy Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I noticed several months ago this accessory had disappeared off of the my.chevrolet.com website as an available accessory for my 2020 5.3L, though it was a listed accessory in July of 2020 when I bought the truck. Gmpartsdirect.com is now showing this intake for both the 5.3L and the 6.2L as discontinued (gmpartsonline.net is still showing it available), but several months ago my dealership was able to still order one. Not knowing how long the replacement filters will be available, even though it's going to be another eighteen or so months or so before I'll need to replace it, I went ahead and ordered one to put on the shelf. Somewhere I read that K&N manufactured these intakes, assuming that's the case then they probably have a dry filter that will fit.
Transient Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 I'm not finding it on GM's website either accessories.chevrolet.com Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Jim E Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 Likely pulled because they don't know when they will get more in stock. There is a plastic shortage for numerous types of plastic. Even the aftermarket SB unit has been "backordered - shipping soon" for months now.
