Where can I find this?  I bought from a dealer far away.  I know the first oil change was free, done at a local dealer.  I don't recall if I had 1 or 3 free with the purchase but I remember the 1st change having something on it that made me think it was more than 1.

1st one is free but the rest arent unless dealer negotiated something.  It use to be pretty standard to get 2 years free on oil changes but that ended for some reason.  Im due for my 2nd oil change but not sure if i want to do it myself or take it somewhere.

I quit using the free oil changes when I noticed they put trans fluid in the engine.

Fortunately, soon as I got home I smelled burning trans fluid and changed it out myself.

Your new Chevrolet vehicle comes with one factory-included maintenance visit (oil change, tire rotation, and Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection) that must be used within the first year of ownership. For all vehicles 2019 and newer, you can choose to extend the factory-included maintenance with the purchase of Extended Factory Maintenance. This gives you three additional maintenance visits (oil change, tire rotation, and Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection), for a total of four, to be used within two years of vehicle purchase.

With my CPO Silverado (purchased March 2021), I get two free maintenance visits.

Not really free then is it?

Free oil changes could end up costing you thousands.  Frequency of oil changes is the key to success in pushing related products and services for the GM dealer. A few free oil changes can go a long way toward increasing the amount of money a customer will spend at the dealer during the ownership of the vehicle.   In other words, you’re being played.

My 2016 came with two "free" oil changes and my 2019 came with one.  I refuse to let the dealer touch my truck for anything other than recalls, so I never let them do any of the "free" oil changes.  I do my own.

You also got 40,000 more miles of powertrain warranty. But, cost cutting rules the day.

i do my own......going to dealership is a PITA and eats up half a day....its pretty simple to do if you have few necessities, am about do to do mine this week actually

Free isn't free, it is built into the price of the vehicle.  Now if they said they would give you the cost of the oil change in dollars back and do the oil change then that truly would be free.

It depends on dealer, not the factory, and if you want another oil change, you have to go to the same dealer.

The Silverado we have came from a dealership that offered lifetime oil change so we get it done there.

For me, way back it was 3 but only used 2 because they seemed to use only filters that leaked anytime i took a included oil change. After two changes and both filters leaking with the changes almost a year apart, i decided the oil change was not worth having oil leak all over the underside of my truck.

So my advice is to check the filter if you get the included changes, imo i think they use a lesser quality or left over junk for them. Is the only time i received filters that leaked in the now 8 years of owning this truck.

Only if you allow yourself to be "Played". Anytime a dealer "Suggests" something, listen to what they say and make an informed decision after only after learning about the issue and don't make a spur of the moment decision. Difficult to do sometimes, I know!!
