Hello All,

New to this site, just bought a new 2021 Silverado LT Trail Boss a few weeks ago. One of the first things I am doing to this truck is upgrading the few halogen bulbs that GM decided to keep on it. The Rear backup and license plate lights all went super smooth, no issue. But when I went to remove the front blinker bulb from the housing I was faced with a different configuration than what I've seen. The place where you would normally find the circular grip for twisting out the bulb has a small hex head there in place, and it does not look to actually come apart (Please see attached picture). I think that I might have a different blinker than what normally comes with this trim (and I think it may already be LED) but I am unable to find anything online that resembles or mentions this configuration. I am only able to find the typical bulb backing which does not match mine.

Does anyone have insight to this or possibly know what kind of blinker I have? I have included a picture of the back of the blinker as well as the light housing itself as I think it too looks slightly different than others I have seen.

Thanks in advance!

DUDE!! Thank you!! I was not planning on getting a midnight edition but due to current stock, it was the only options they had. I knew some of the items the package came with but did not know that it changed the front blinker lol. I had been looking up every other reason for the difference besides midnight edition.

You rock!

You're welcome.  I wasn't aware that midnight edition had different headlights until a few months ago.  One of the things midnight edition got were HID LED headlights that have LED turn signals, same as the LTZ and High Country trucks.  Trail Bosses without the midnight edition package got non-HID LED headlights with halogen turn signals.

Yep Midnight LT Trail Boss gets the LTZ/High Country full LED lamps.  One less upgrade to make!

Yeah didn't know HID LED Headlights meant the upgrade to the blinkers. Now just have to try to return part of the package I got from Lasfit. Got the LT Trailboss package that came with LED's for license plate, backup lights and Turn signal. Awesome lights btw, the backup lights are insane. Now I'm seeing if I can just return the blinkers since they were the majority of the price. I'm sure I'll be able to work something out with them. I was dumb for not checking before hand, but everything I saw with Trail Boss' online were the same.

Just the High Country and Midnight Edition LT TB get those headlights. LTZ has the same ones as LT & RST, with incandescent turn signals. I put the LASFIT LEDs in mine.

Yeah, the backup lights are intense. Love them, makes a great light for the reverse camera.

Yup. Mine have lasted two years and still going too. Pretty impressive. Lots of crappy LED bulbs wouldn’t live half that long.

They are on the more expensive side of LED's that you can buy. But they are definitely quality. Which is what I'm going for on the new vehicle. And the price isn't insane, just compared to LED's that you could buy.

If you want to take that reverse lighting to a whole new level, GM Accessories has that Putco blade lightbar for under the tailgate.  It has red flag leds for turn signals, and uses those same leds for an additional stop light.  However, when your reverse lights turn on the bar lights up in the same bright white the LasFit led reverse and license plates are.  It's a whole strip of white light that really lights up the area you're backing into.  The camera on these trucks really catches it, too.

So around this time of year last year I changed my brakes and my rotors and was going to replace my front bearings as well. My 08 is a Michigan truck so it’s got a plethora of rust accumulated. One of caliper bolts had seized so I completed what I could with the brakes and headed home to figure the best attack for a seized rusted bolt with thread lock. Anyways that bolt was a ******, so I went to my brother cause he had an air compressor and thought we’d try that. Needless to say the bolt one, so my brother put the wheel back together but before he put the caliper back in place over the rotor he decided to decompress the spring?. Why? I have zero idea thought it was pointless for him to do that Considering I had to do it to change the springs. So I start to head back home just worried about getting this bolt out so I can change my bearing. So as I start to leave I don’t notice anything out of place until I get down the road and my brake pedal goes to the floor. It made no sense, I couldn’t figure out what happened in the 30 minutes I was there; that would take my brakes from having good pressure to having none.  Then not long after that my fuel pump goes. Old Murphy’s law coming in clutch for me! So I get the fuel pump swapped get the caliper freed so I could replace my bearing. Then go to bleed my brakes and I can’t get any of my brake pedal back. I have abs so I I went out and bought a scan tool cause I heard bleeding brakes with an abs system without the scan tool is difficult and is more than likely the reason my brakes still go to the floor. So I do everything the device tells me to. There’s no change, except now I can’t shift it out of park to even attempt to check if there’s at least some pressure. I’ve been battling these brakes so at least the last half of 2021 my family is telling me to just sell it for whatever. Honestly I don’t want to sell it I rather enjoy having it and am not ready to let it go. Any help or advice would be so appreciated!

I have a 2017 Silverado 5.3L. Used to stay around 40 pounds of oil. Now when idling, is goes down to 20-25 ish pounds. It’s not throwing any codes up but does have a bit of a knock if I floor it without letting the pressure build back up first. Cold start it’s just below 40 pounds but at operating temps (210) it drops like crazy. It’s not oil quality or level, I just changed it last week and it was good for half a day and went back down.

I purchased my 2021 Yukon AT4 brand new in June. I haven't had to use the heat until recently (I live in TN). The front heat blows warm air while I'm driving, but when I stop at a long light or put it in park, the air starts to blow cold until I start driving it around again. Also, in the rear of the cabin, it's never blown hot air...ever. Even after running the controls on full blast on HI for an hour -- air is still ice cold. I've tried it with the Auto Stop On and Off and it makes no difference. Anyone else have this issue?

      A question here.
I put my winter tires and wheels fromy 2019 Silverado 2500HD onto my new 2021 Silverado 3500HD  and the truck will not read the TPMS sensors. The tire shop said the dealer needs to reprogram the sensors to the new truck. Took it to the dealer and they say that this cannot be done even though the TPMS part numbers are identical between the years and that I need to buy new sensors for the new truck. Any help would be appreciated as this makes no srnse to me! Thanks in advance.

      2 inch spacers front.
      ordered -38 mm offset wheels
pre runner front bumper trimmed inner fender to metal line
just ordered a 3 inch rear block lift with new shocks.
should be able to pull it off. May throw on a 1.5 inch body lift.
not sure how I feel about the NorCal mod.
      stay tuned!
