2022 AT4 Transmission Hesitation and/or Shudder?

Hey Everyone-
I have a 2022 AT4 (5700mi) and its it has a shudder/hesitation during steady and/or light throttle acceleration between 25 and 70 MPH.  Anyone else experiencing this or has and got it "fixed".  Reproduced it for a ride along with the dealer, but need to figure out a plan or approach to fix this.  They have mentioned maybe a fuel injector, maybe a new transmission....

Thoughts? Recommendations?  

Also, what site does everyone use to search for TSB's?

What engine? 

 

I have had this issue with my 2020 AT4 (5.3L) and dealer has not had any luck finding the issue as it's not throwing any codes.  They replaced the torque converter 6mos ago but it did very little.  It feels more like a misfire when under slight load.  I am looking at trying a different dealer to further diagnosis.

6.2.  But sounds like similar experiences. No codes here also.  My dealer didn’t think it was torque converters but hasn’t really offered much As to why not.  They also said fuel injector issue but would expect to see some sort code in that scenario.

I bought a 2022 Sierra 1500 AT4 last week and having similar issues.  A shudder or studder under light load and relatively low speeds.  It gave me a notification to have traction control and ESC serviced.  Went and spoke with service department at dealership this morning and they hadn't seen any similar complaints.  Taking it in next week for service to investigate.

Mine is going back to dealer this week.  I pulled this bulletin and shared with dealer and they are going to dig deeper to see if it is related to my issue.  They weren't sure but did say my vin shows that the crankshaft learning procedure may be necessary so I'm hoping it's a simple software update vs the "i don't know, it drives as it should" type response.  It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to drive it...pretty annoying since it started around 15k and now I'm pushing 34k miles.

I’ve had mine for 4 days. Same issue. I got a check engine light though. Going to dealer in 3 days.

We are at day 8 at the dealer and they are telling me it's tranny related and it will need to be pulled apart to determine the issue.  Really don't know what to think at this point...so much for thinking the 10spd was a solid option.

Took it to the dealer today because it was throwing error messages about everything. Check engine light went off when I put gas in it today. I’m thinking it’s the tranny but it runs pretty rough at idle at a stoplight. Hope to hear something in the next day or so. Keep y’all posted.

Update- dealer said they found a bad fuel injector. Ordered part #12726901. Part is on backorder. I’ve been waiting a month now and still no ETA from dealer.

Update:  Dealer finally determine what was causing the shudder / misfire type feeling when maintaining  a constant speed.  They pulled the cover and filter and discovered shavings throughout the tranny most likely from a bearing.  Additionally, one of the internal pumps is way of spec in terms of free play so either the bearing it was from that particular pump or somewhere else within the transmission.  One year after initially taking it in we finally determined the problem.  It started around 15k miles and now at 34k.  Waiting on GM to give the approval to replace with new tranny vs rebuild.  I will probably be moving on to something else once repaired.

I had that issue in my 2017 around 60k miles. I had the mechanic replace ALL the fluid with Amzoil. No more issues. Its might be worth a shot.

Well, after a new torque converter, new 10spd tranny, new motor mounts , shutter /misfire (almost like a tranny slipping feel with light throttle) still present. Not sure what else to do… dealer has no clue and agrees there’s something wrong. No codes and everything monitored seems within specs.

      It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.

      It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
