Ford sells more "trucks" is what I meant which is true.

In part only because they count sales of a segment GM has no product for (the 4500 and 5500s haven't been made for a few years). Though I say Ford was and will be the only other brand I look at for trucks, I'm not convinced Ram has their reliability where it needs to be and the import brands are a joke for fullsizes.

Ford sales 450 and 550 account to nothing over a year, not enough to talk about

Considering the difference between Ford and GM last year was around 9000 trucks I'd say the nearly 2000 F450s sold in the figures I found are worth talking about.

I have already decided, if Chevy does in fact decide to make an SCSB SS, either throw a SC 6.2 in, or put the 427 7.0L in the truck and make it n/a with the option to add an SC. With some staggered 20x10's in the back and 20x9's up front, I think ford will be runnin with their tails between their legs. Certainly way into the backfield with this wish but if GM was to give birth to such a monster, I think people would go banana's!!!!

Keep dreaming, you'll never see it

This you have 0% control of. You have any certain proof behind your assumption?

No way they will ever drop 7.0 in it, maybe 6.2. Which would be pretty quick.

My dream would be a Duramax RCSB 4x4. I couldn't imagine putting my engine/tranny in a small truck. It would be a killer on the street. Already is @ 7000 lbs. since were being unrealistic, I vote twin turbo well fuelled 6.6 RCSB 4x4 with factory warranty LOLOLOLOL

Anything is possible, they could go the callaway route and allow you to buy your truck then ship it off to pay another hefty chunk of change to get some TT's slapped on with a warranty. But before that, they need to work on the RCSB part lol.

No bucket seats and 3.42's I think, but 450HP and no minivan shifter...

That SLP edition I posted up is putting down 575HP, though no word on the TQ but that is the number I would be looking for in an SS if not more.

My 2011 6.2 was fast 13.5 was my best time, but one night I ran into a supercrew ecoboost that pulled on me HARD. All the guy had was a tune, cai and exhaust. I would say it was a 12 second truck easily. Don't know how long his motor will last, but it's a beast when tuned.

Guess that's what happens when you replace displacement for twin turbos. If you were to supercharge with minimum boost, no way would he be leaving you.

ecoboosts with exhaust, intake and tune will run 13 flat consistantly.

IMO opinion superchargers are cool, make power and sound badass but they are parasitic and a thing of the past. Turbos are a much more effecient way of producing boost, expecially with all the new tuning software in this day an age. not to mention variable vane turbos and such. almost no lag, and produce very good torque down low. If GM ever produces a turbo'd v-8 in any truck i would be first in line for one. :driving:

Thats correct, they are definitely advancing, SC's are just a cheaper alternative IMO, but I would be right behind you in line if GM did what you stated!

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
