It looks like it sits higher in the front a little or is it just me?

It is a full inch higher in the back 39.5 in the front 40.625 on the back. I could have take a better shot. I think there was a slight incline on the second shot.

2.5 leveling kit 1.5 body lift. New tires 35/12.50r20 .. zip tide fender flares back ..other then that no trimming .Tires r atturo trail blade xt

What is the offset of the wheels? I have the same set up and wondered if 35s would fit. The wheels Im looking at have a +0 offset.

Has anyone leveled a truck with say a RC 2.5" kit and then upgraded the coilovers to a Fox or King brand?

 

I understand that Fox and King are adjustable but I'm concerned that if I lift them too much, the ride will be too stiff. If I run a spacer and the Fox's on the factory setting, then I may get the best of both worlds?

 

Make sense or am I completely wrong?

Did the RC 2.5 today (Front only) Planning on doing the back just ran out of time today. Stock SRA tires for now

Surebuttercringe first off sorry your a Ohio state fan lol .. Arkansas boy just giving you a little crap .. there +12 but tires only measure 34.25 and about 12 wide.. but do still clear body mount by 3/4 of an inch ..

so i just bought a 2014 silverado and got a tuff country leveling lit for it. i went to install the kit and ram into a little trouble, i had it pretty much installed on the passanger side and noticed tha my upper control arm was contacting what looks to me to be some sort of droop limiter. i put everything back together in the stock configuration. im wondering if once i nstall the kit completly if this will cause any issues with suspension travel.

Any reason why the torsion key leveling kit is not popular? I am referring to a replacement torsion key (ReadyLift) vice cranking on the existing bolt.

The new trucks don't have torsion bars they use strut spacers to level

Thanks. I saw them on the ReadyLift website, but did not recognize that it was for 1999-2007 year models.

I would go with a ranch quick lift strut system if its the same as the older models. It did the job very well on my truck. I hope they come out with one for the z71 model.

 

The "Z71 model" is no different than any other 4x4 Silverado/Sierra and the Quick Lift struts work and lift 2". Not sure why Rancho claims it won't work with Z71 suspension, the only difference is shock stiffness when it comes to the OEM suspension packages.

Picked up a new 2015 Z71 GMC crew cab 4x4 today. Front measures 36 1/2, rear measures 39 1/2. At what point on a leveling kit would new UCAs and/or a diff drop be required? Looking at the Bilstein 5100s set at next to highest setting or a 2" spacer.

TBN and ZDP levels matter. The one thing not covered was sufficient viscosity. Sad.     And yet we now have since API SN lower amount of them all with the only real change being a slight up tick in base oil selection. Along with lower concentrations of everything that makes oil work and lower and lower viscosity there is still an insistence on longer OCI's.    How low does the peanut butter and jelly level have to get before we say it's just white bread folded?    The new smoke and mirror treatment is the 'additives are INVISIBLE' to UOA testing with a health dose of TRUST ME.    I'm not picking on AMSOIL. This is coming from all of them. Every last one of them that abandon the low wear model in favor of the high mpg/EPA compliance model. 
    • First off use it in the way you’re more comfortable. In working in off road situations most of my life I used 4WD low range very little. In most cases when equipped I used auto 4WD. If I wanted maximum control going up and down very steep terrain  I used low range. Especially if I was driving a diesel. Same with very rutted terrain. In very muddy or snowy conditions I wanted momentum so high range worked well for that. With gravel ramps with limited traction I would try high range first. I would want smooth even increasing speed if I was fighting traction. Low range could give you too much to the wheels breaking traction trying to move. 
    • Having owned 4wd vehicle since the 1970s I find there are varying opinions on how to use 4wd, every owner is an expert in their minds.  IMO, 4LO is the appropriate gear and what I would use,  You have to feather the gas to avoid spinning tires and the lower the gear the better chance.  But like I said you will find those that think their method is best.  I live near a boat launch.  Yesterday there was a new Ford Maverick pulling out a pontoon boat almost 2x its size, they had no problems and they don't have a LO range.   True story. One winter day not long ago I was coming out of small town post office and there was a F150 4wd parked in front and was stuck foot deep snow ruts. I knew the lady so I asked her to put it in 4wd (wondering why in the middle of a 2-day snow storm she wasn't).  Her reply surprised me, "my husband" (the expert) told me not use that because it uses too much gas. She finally got unstuck spinning in 2wd which likely used more gas than not.  
    • Your tire pressure issue may just be batteries, you can reset them using tge Ing switch (I think) and the owner's  manual. ChatGTP will b e a faster, better help than Google.
    • The thinking is that starting out in a higher gear makes it easier to avoid applying excessive torque when pressing the gas pedal. In a modern 4wd truck with 4 low and a limited slip or locking rear end, I would use 4 low and try to crawl up the ramp. Sometimes if they are too slippery, you have to back up to let the boat have some bouyancy, and then accelerate briskly to get some momentum to help you pull the through the slippery parts.
