I found a picture from SDHQ’s website. Saw you have their skid plates. Pretty badass! Love the Bronze wheel look too. I’ll post pictures of mine once I finish installing everything. 
 
How many miles do you have on your Coopers? And how have they been off-road for you?

Nice! Probably have under 1k miles on the coopers and haven’t had them Offroad so can’t comment on that yet. On road though they are nice and quiet

Hey guys,

 

I have a 2018 Silverado 1500. I currently have a 2" Rough Country leveling kit installed on it. I want to replace my stock shocks and struts with the Bilstein 5100's. Given the truck is already leveled will I be able to install the Bilstein 5100 struts along with the leveling kit given the bilstein's already have the ability to level the truck out without any issues? What setting will I need to run the struts on if they will work out? Im not looking to raise the truck up anymore than it already is. Thanks in advance!

Bilstein will tell you not to run spacers with the 5100 adjustable struts or it will void the warranty.

This showed up today. Probably wait for warmer weather to install them. Also got some Motofab 2” blocks for the rear. I’m gonna run the stock UCA for now and probably buy aftermarket arms when the upper ball joints wear out. My 2016 has the aluminum control arms.

Just got mine installed yesterday... didn’t do blocks yet... but the front sits taller than I expected... a full inch higher than my RC level block... so I am an inch high in front... waiting to see if it settles at all before I do a block or something...

Just installed readylift 2.5" front level with UCA this weekend (66-3086 kit). Currently running stock 275-55-20 and control arm rubs on the passenger side tire at full lock (left). The left side clears at about 0.5". Tires are pretty worn from waiting 3 days to get alignment. Will be replacing with 275-60-20 Pirelli Scorpion AT next couple of weeks.

I installed the same kit and my tires/ rims rubs as well. Will be putting my stock a arms back on. Bull ****** actually.

So what did you do?  I have the 5100 for all around on my 18 double-cab.  I doing have any issues at all with wanting to level it.  I tow my boat and like to haul stuff sometimes... I do not tow/haul anything really heavy.  I would like a lift for clearance.  I wanted a better ride than the ranchos first.  Second, more clearance would be nice.  I thought about going to 3rd or 4th notch and adding a 1/2 inch or an inch to the rear of the truck.  I want the rake.  

 

I have the 5100 on the rear now.  I am going to do the front this weekend, but not sure if I will keep it stock height or do more.  I know  I could have used the 4600, but I wanted the silver color more than the yellow and blue.  I am far from a mall crawler.  I go camping, hunting, fishing, and down trails on our hunting property and BLM land a lot.  I need performance over looks.

I just swapped to 275-60-20 Pirelli Scropion ATS and now passenger tire no longer rubs at full lock to the left.

I did the same kit on mine a year ago, it sits pretty level. I think I'm 5/8" higher in the back but it looks level with naked eye. I would like a little more rake and am looking for a 2.5" block for the rear now.

Also I May end up towing a boat, will leveling kit affect rear squatting ?   Currently running stock 22’s with stock Bridgestone. Would appreciate  any insight or recommendations....

 

 

What did you ever end up going with? I just got into a centennial and have been trying to find pictures of them with a lift/leveling kit and bigger tires and have had a pretty hard time finding any

I haven’t done anything, and probably won’t. Seems there is just not a kit out there that doesn’t have some sort of side effect. Wether it’s alignment issues, tires rubbing, ride quality, ruining upper control arms, etc. It really only makes since to do a real entire lift kit, but I use my truck as a daily and park in a lot of garages. So I’ll prob do some nice shocks and leave it alone....

Yeah ive been running into the same issue. The only thing I can come up with is that 3.5 knuckle kit with lifted struts from rough country, thats the only cheap thing I can find that will have the least issues. But at the same time I might as well just spend another couple hundred bucks and lift it. Who knows lol

Hey guys, lots of questions for you:

 

I have a 2016 Silverado I'd like to do some mild offroading and camping in, but definitely would need to get the truck up off the ground (stock 4x4 height now) some. I ALSO need the front/rear to be able to handle a winch and an occasional motorcycle hauler on the rear hitch.  We get a lot of washboard roads here so I'd need something that will be smooth on that if possible. I definitely don't need a race truck lift.  2-3" with a larger tire would do wonders. Recommendations?

 

Would I need a helper spring in the rear when using the motorcycle hitch (about 500 lbs moto)?  I think tongue weight will be about 800# or so.

I have a 2017 Sierra 6.2L SLT Crew Cab with a Magnuson Supercharger (so a little added weight in the engine bay). I feel like the rake has increased over the years, and just measured a 4 inch difference between the front and back (with the front being 35.5" and the rear being 39.5" - measured from ground to bottom of fender). Is a 4 inch difference between the front and back in line with others out there? I'm thinking of doing a simple leveling kit up front and removing the stock rear blocks. Do you all think this would level it out? I'm also thinking of swapping out the old 275/55/20s for 275/60/20s. Thoughts and advice?

    • I'm sure if you went to a junkyard where you go in and pull the part off the truck yourself, not a used part place where they do it for you, you can get that part on it's own.  Depending on if and what else you would be buying, and time of day, they might even just skip over adding it as a item to the bill.

    • It would be sold as a "kit", lights + auth/programming code.   You can resell the code to someone else, if they just buy the lights, either new or used, and they can then use the code to get them to work on their truck.
    • Apologies in advance, this is a long post, there's a lot to explain.   A friend had a 2010 Avalanche with a 5.3 (LMG) that blew the head gaskets (amount other problems). He gave me a donor motor out of a 2007 suburban (LC9). I got it all installed, and everything hooked up. Went to go start it, and it stumbled a bit at first and died a couple times, but after trying a few times it sounded like it was running very well. Went out to go get some coolant, and came back the next day.    Upon trying to start it, the truck will crank and fire normally and the RPMs will raise to around 1,200 or 1,500, sounding great, and then the RPMs will decrease and it will just die. Repeat that a dozen or two dozen times, and eventually it will fire and idle beautifully. As soon as you touch the throttle, it will start misfiring and sound like absolute trash. When you let off the throttle it will come down and hunt around shaking and misfiring like crazy. A message will come up on the dash saying reduced engine power.    It is throwing codes for a map sensor circuit voltage High, as well as MAF sensor low frequency. With key on engine off, the map sensor reads about 4.8 volts on the vout pin, which the PCM interprets as about 17.8 PSI, contrasted to the barometer which my scan tool tells me reads about 13.5 PSI. However, once the engine starts and is idling this reading drops to about 5-6 PSI at a stable idle, and varies significantly when the engine is misfiring/ hunting like I said before. I should note that I used the intake and MAP sensor from the LC9 engine. I changed the connector on the 2010 harness to The 2007 connector. The pinouts for the sensors were printed right on the top, and I triple-checked that I put the correct wire into the correct place.   On the other hand, the MAF sensor reads consistently 0.0 g/s regardless of State. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out this last detail. I have tried three different sensors, (all of which should be good, one of which was new), I have verified all the wiring from the sensor going back to the PCM, and have verified that the readings at the PCM are the same readings as at the sensor itself. The intake air temperature sensor is also functioning as normal. I verified all the voltages and grounds etc, and everything is as it should be. I don't have an oscilloscope to verify, but I probed with my multimeter (Klein mm720) on frequency Mode, and it reads that on initial cranking, the maf is producing between 3000 and 7000 HZ, and as soon as the engine fires that falls off to below, 1000, and if the engine continues to run, it will produce somewhat erratic readings between 5 and 100-200 HZ. It does increase notably when the engine is revved despite the misfirings. As I said before, I have verified all of the wires going to the PCM, and I have tried multiple known good sensors. I've tested all the pins and voltages from the sensor and verified them against the manual that they are what they should be. I tested all the wiring for both ohms and voltage drop, and everything tested fine. Like I said I tested at the sensor as well as right at the PCM, everything checked out.   The only other thing of note at least I think is the fact that the engine originally in the truck had VVT, but the engine I put in, the lc9, does not have VVT. I modified the cam sensor plug to work. I reference the wiring diagrams and double-checked that I modified the harness correctly to adapt it. There is obviously a code for the VVT solenoid, but I don't think that's the cause of my problems, and this friend will probably have the PCM sent off to tune out the codes at some point.   I'm writing this for my bed so I don't recall the exact codes, but I'll update the post tomorrow morning with the exact codes. And ideas or feedback much appreciated. 
    • It's possible the two trucks are using different body control modules which is why yours works and the OP's doesn't.   So much in these newer vehicles depends on model/trim configurations, production date. They don't all use the same modules like back in the day.
