Steering Wheel Offset

I noticed the steering wheel is not centered with the driver's seat. It sets closer to the center of the cab. Has this been noticeable to any of the 2014 owners or does it feel natural? Any quirks?

I'm guessing its really a non issue but wanted the opinions of those who have lived with it.

If you look under google images searching GMT 900's, the dead center of seat & steering wheel look off too.

Mine is off center in the other direction. Essentially the steering column is off but there's not really much that can be done.

All vehicles are like that, I was told the reason there off center of the drivers seat is when in a head on crash it will kick off to the side its angled at. Much like taking a pole and putting it straight into a wall now if you do it straight it will go straight into your body versus the same thing but the pole angled to the side it will kick away from you to the side.

They've been that way since 1999, folks!

I see that it is offset, but it doesn't bother me, you don't notice it unless you are specifically looking for it. Doesn't affect function, unless you are OCD. ;-)

Never noticed, but since I primarily drive with my right hand, I guess that would be an advantage. Although now that I know about it, I'll just have to go and see this in my truck.

It is noticeable if you pay attention to it, but I find I like it more because I often rest my elbow on the center console, making the steering wheel easier to reach with my right hand.
