did you know if you leave your turn signals on for too long you will get a notice in the information center telling you they are still activated

GM trucks have done that since at least 2003.

Yeah that's why I think it's so stupid that the clicks like the old flasher sound can't be turned off. If you give me a warning I left them on after a turn. Then I don't need the damn clicks.

Just did my first oil change at 5000. Anybody that is thinking about it, may want to invest in a Fumoto quick drain or ez-drain valve to replace the fill plug. The oil stream comes out and hits the the sway bar and fans oil out everywhere for a few seconds. Oil filter not to bad but you need to stick rags inside the cavity hole or oil will splash and drip inside the skid plate area when removing the filter.

Not the worst oil change experience but not the best one either.

I'll disagree here. Especially when people drive in the right hand lane 10 under the speed limit with their blinker on for the past 2 miles and you don't know if they're lost or really want you to know they're turning soon..

I know this has been mentioned, but I was trying to get more detail. The headlights come on if you turn your windshield wipers on, but will they come on in a low intermittent setting?

Yes, the slower the intermittent rate, the longer delay before they come on.

Please explain how to add contacts to favorites, still can't figure it out?

Sorry man, I have forgotten how to do it. It's been over three months since I have added anything. I'll go by my dealer and get my guy to show me again. I go down there all the time. I'll let you know. I just tried ofr ten minutes. After I turned 60 a few years ago, I realized if I don't pracice a new procedure often I wil forget it in a couple days. That's exactly what happened here.

OJ, same problem here and I'm not anywhere near 60. Like you said, it require practice, if you'll do it often enough you'll remember.

Back to topic. He can find it in this link, I just couldn't find his post to quote so I quoted yours http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/155677-2014-Silverado-Sierra-Tips-and-Tricks/page__view__findpost__p__1380888

There is an important step I forgot to mention covered by post #20 he should check that too.

Apparently they do that regardless if clicks or not. You used to be able to put some foam tape around the old flasher module and shut it up.

Thanks guys on the contacts added to favorites issue. I found a nice YouTube that makes it easy. The trick is when your in contacts you need to swipe the bottom options bar up to expose the favorites. From there its just like adding any other. For the record I'm only 40 and it was kicking my ass for a whole day!

Not really a tip or trick but the other morning while waiting for my carpool I jumped in the truck on the passenger side. I turned the key ahead to get the radio come on and then pulled the key out and got out of the truck.. The issue is that unless you open the driver side door the radio will not shut off for 10 minutes. Just an FYI.. I even tried locking, unlocking and relocking the truck but the music kept playing. Not a big deal just something to be cautious of, thieves are more likely to break in a truck that seems to be "on" with the music playing just sitting there as opposed to a locked quiet vehicle.
