Leveled 2014 vs. Factory 2014 suspension.

I've had so many vehicles with lowered suspension and I can guarantee you that just lowering shackles will NOT change the ride quality. I had a 3/5 drop on my 2012 F150 and the ride was no different from stock since it was done correctly.

Those rims are 22's according to the tires. With that little of sidewall, it is going to be rough. It probably has nothing to do with the suspension. I don't even like 20's, I prefer to stick with 18's so that I have sidewall to flex and absorb some bumps. Of course that is just my opinion :)

OP have you checked the air pressure in the tires? I bought a 2012 F150 and it had factory 18's but part of my deal was for them to throw on the FX2 20" wheels. When I drove the truck for the first few days it rode like shit, come to find out it had over 60-70 psi in all 4 tires, brought them down to 32 and rode perfect. I would check just in case. In my experience 22" wheels with that size tire shouldn't ride like shit. That would mean all the trucks you see now days with factory 22" wheels "ride like shit"

I am looking to get a 2 inch level kit with duratrac 285/60/20 on stock wheels. Can someone give me some advice or let me know if they have seen this set-up before?

Will I need to get wheel spacers? What level kit do you recommend. I wanna try to keep the cost low. Thanks again!

UPDATE:

Thanks guys for all of the responses. Here is what has happened since then:

So I went to another Chevy Dealer and they looked the truck over. Seems as if they added a few things that were aftermarket. The leveling kit, the tires and rims being the main culprits. So i went back to MY dealer and told them "fix the truck and put it back to its factory settings or I want a new truck".

They fixed the truck, gave me new tires and rims and I'm happy!

Lesson:

STAY ON YOUR DEALER... if you dont like what you purchased don't hesitate to bug them until they do what you want them to. I was lucky to have a dealership that would work with me and provide okay service. I say 'okay' because its January and i've been bugging them since late November.

My 22's have a 4" sidewall , stock LSAs 20's are roughly 4.75. Pretty decent sidewall IMO.

To the OP: did they still charge extra for the leveling kit and aftermarket rims and tires? Didn't you test drive the truck before purchase?

Did the dealer install all the aftermarket parts AFTER you test drove the truck and purchased it without your knowledge?

Or did you test drive it with all the aftermarket parts installed and choose to purchase the truck anyway?

Sounds like the dealer did you a huge favor.

Unless they adjusted the price, they got their extra mark up and put back on all the OEM parts that came off lol!!!
