A little cheesy but added 3M carbon fiber vinyl wrap to the bowties. Matching the tungsten metallic paint is difficult which is why I went with this.

Not cheesy. Looks sharp. Was pondering doing the same to my Tungsten. The vinyl stick pretty well to the bumpy surface of the bowtie?

^^^ +1. Have some left over from a couple years ago just not sure how it would stick so would love to know!

It seemed very sticky while applying it and while removing the excess. A video I watched claimed after two years it is holding up like day 1 and others say after 1 year it still looks great, so I am expecting it to last at least a year. If you are worried about the stickiness, one video mentioned using 3M primer that is supposed to help with adhesion but it is probably not necessary.

Finally got my truck back after being at the Dealership for a week. Bumper was repainted, baked, put back on and clear bra installed. Came out real nice too, worth the wait

Had 3 of my windows replaced under warranty. Had a bunch of scratches down them, must have had dirt and rocks inside the door panel. They gave me a 2015 4.3L V6 for the day to use. Definitely didn't feel like my 6.2L but it had more power than I expected.

Not just today, but over the last few days I've been working on colormatching the chrome trim in the guage cluster

Drove around like this for the last 2 days

But here's the end results. Definitely worth it. It's easy to remove the trim, but it's a PITA at the same time

Last picture has a sneak for the next small interior project[emoji57] already got it in place, just need to straighten it up before I get a better picture of it

Also want to say thanks to Tgawly for giving me the idea and the instructions to get the guage cluster open and remove the trim

Yep, mentioned in my last post it wasn't done yet haha. I'm hopefully going to straighten it all up and finish it up later today. Might even ditch the idea for Z71 emblem.

We all know it was authentic Mike1220 when he includes the feet in the picture

I don't think it looks "cheezy" at all. Looks great with your truck color.

I love the way the color matched gauges look! I want to do something about the chrome there also but I'm scared to start prying stuff lol

Lol it's not hard. Just tedious. Just have to lift up to PPP off the dash piece above the cluster (it's just clipped in) then remove 3 screws and put the gear shifter down to manual and the steering wheel all the way down and remove the trim piece that sits in between the steering wheel and the guage trim. Then undo 4 more screws to free the cluster and there are 4 tabs (2 top and 2 bottom) that you'll need to push to release the front of the cluster. Don't try to pull lens off the cluster cause it's not meant to be removed! Once you have the front of the cluster off the trim is self explanatory from there. Just be careful not to fight it too much as no one would want to scratch up the inside of the lens.

Now I challenge you to do the chrome around the steering wheel emblem and the emblem itself. Once you finish that, go ahead & get a plane ticket to Cali and do this all for me. Please & thanks.

I would keep the GMC as is inside, it looks nice with the 2 colours.

The chrome bezel just prys off as it is just taped on
