Those are nice emblems. My first choice would be placing them on the outside of your vehicle and my second would be as in your first picture.

No it did not and yes it is for a Cadillac. I just replaced the emblem.

Where'd the bow tie emblem come from? A Camaro? Any idea if they make a GMC one?

Yes it came with the Cadillac emblem and I did remove it using a heat gun
