I like them but I should of sent them to get powder coated, not liking the cheap paint they used.

On another note I’m loving the new headlight harness I got from @pgamboa I can have parking light and fogs on like the rest of y’all

this is a 2014 Silverado LT with the 2016+ LTZ frontend but with the painted bumper

The cold/snow have kept things a little slow, but I recently decided to change my cabin air filter. Had the new one sitting around the house for a while. I did the cardboard method and slid it under the old one as I took it out, and I'm very glad I did. To be honest, I'm almost positive this is the original filter and it has never been changed before (I got the truck used, not sure if previous owner knew about it). Noticed an immediate difference in the HVAC system!

Also cleaned up some small headliner stains and spruced up the engine bay.

Rain is giving us a break so I finally got a chance to wash and shine. Also, I like to take a run up the highway to blow most of the water off before drying and for some reason decided to try the trailer mode. I tried it once when I first bought the truck and noticed it shifted firmer at higher rpm but this was the first time under hard acceleration and it was like I unleashed “performance mode” as this thing lit up that on ramp like greased lightning! (I got such a jolt I went down and up several ramps just to do it a few more times! )

Dropped it off yesterday @ the local service place. 150k service; brake pads & rotors (originals still on it); anything left over from the 100k service that didn't get done; a front & back groan when I go over speed bumps; & a slight, intermittent noise from the right rear at low speeds (yeah, good luck with that).

Few Projects completed this weekend. #3 on the list was that i finally got around to putting in the external lighted bed light switch and an additional set of GM bed lights. This is a must have,.. No more going in to the truck to turn bed lighting on..

Little update on the ceramic coated long tube headers. Just parked after about a 30 mins drive. Ambient temp is 46 degrees. The header at the top is 182F. The beginning of the Y pipe (coated with VHT primer and fire proof spray paint) is 257F. Not bad! Can’t wait to see what the temp differences would be on a hot day after some hard pull.

Also got the waste gate (my version of exhaust cutout) opening at 8PSI. Did a little quick pull. Its a lot raspier than I expected. The boost did dropped a little bit from what I can tell on the gauge, about 0.5-1psi.

I used the mod here from jaeisber as a guide. The second set of lights was a kit i picked up cheap from ebay for a $100.

I wired and installed the switch first with the same color coded wire instead of using all black, an ran it down to the bottom of the truck first in the wire loom.

I just wired in the second set of lights to the original set under the bed rail.

Be careful. The light wiring (gauge) is super thin.

I also found the 12v hot out of my hitch connection was the large black wire in my harness..
