It's been a while since I really did anything extravagant; just normal driving and the traditional upkeep!

I did just recently get my annual Krown treatment, I went a little earlier this year since it has been pretty warm and dry. This is my second application (third if counting the touchups I did this past Spring). I am pretty happy and hope that it protects me for this upcoming winter.

I had got this done for the first time last year immediately after having both of my rocker panels replaced, and while I did notice some crustiness on the old sheetmetal within the inner rockers that wasn't replaced, I haven't noticed any progression and the new rockers still look great overall.

So yeah, I'm a big fan of Krown/Fluid Film at the moment! It's been a heck of a battle, but very happy to have a 10 year old truck in Michigan with minimal rust on it. Let's see how things go this Winter.

Changed the cabin filter and got rid of the mouse nesting materials between it and the cowl vent cover. Stuffed the cover ends with Copper Chore Girls. Bounce drier sheets. Smells good :) Set a mouse trap with PeanutButter. That took like a New York second to get her. Recent harvest activity has turned their world upside-down. I fixed that for her.

Cleaned the truck up. 303 treated the plastics and tonneau cover.

On a sad note I had to put the 2018 Sierra in the trailer for winter, because the wife wants to park her new car in the garage during the winter.  😕

Not today but...

Add the Fas-Top Traveler package to my truck and I like it, I haven't had a need to deploy the cover other than the shakedown run after installation but I have it if needed.

I also added a couple of small molle panels to the utility rail that the Fas-Top is mounted to.

This was a back seat split panel that I mod'd to use in the bed, thank you prime days 😉

Replaced the left rear window regulator on Monday (Photo #1), the window "fell" on Sunday afternoon, and it's raining today (started around 1:30am).  Photo #2 was taken around 8:30am, the lightning strike struck a motor home about 2 miles away, caught fire (photo #3).

Well, it happened again on or shortly before Halloween, but to the other door (passenger rear).  Ordered a new regulator from AutoZone, wasn't going to be here until Saturday, then Monday, but it arrived at our previous address on Saturday.  With a "storm" coming in, I ran to the dealership and grabbed one.  AutoZone refunded my purchase, but now I still have the part.  After replacing the regulator, I found another problem, my muffler is leaking water.

I'm gonna show that to a neighbor. He recently had a leveling kit and headache racks for his Silverado and he's looking for a camper idea.

Bought some Christmas presents for the Silverado.
New valve cover gaskets because both sides are leaking. Replacing them tomorrow.

New spring-fall tires. 305/65/18 BFG KO3. The clear and paint is pealing on my wheels so I’m going to strip and polish them.

Thanks. They’re Black Rhino “Lucerne”. I made the aluminum center caps to replace the plastic ones.

After cleaning them up I realized they only had a few blemishes in the clear. I polished them with some Meguires paint polish and touched up the chipped clear coat. I’ll wet sand and polish the touched up spots and wax them. They clean up nicely for being 12 yrs old.

Also got my valve cover gaskets replaced today.

Scrapped, painted, and sprayed cosmoline RP-342 on the frame. I like the cosmoline so far. Didn’t want to spend what daubert was charging.

I was cleaning up the inside of my truck yesterday and I realized no door chime and when I checked no radio sound either. The station was displayed but I heard zero. Any idea what this could be? When I tried later everything was fine. 2015 in my sig

I had something similar happen. Occasionally I'd lose sound, then would come back. I replaced my battery, and it hasn't happened since.

my radio works all the time, but sometimes stays on when everything else is turned off, no key in it doors locked lol (turns off eventually)

the things that usually do not work are the chimes or parking sensor beep, those have a mind of there own and sometimes work and mostly do not, i changed the hmi, updated all the software no fix, so whatever....... it runs perfectly.

Got the tires mounted today and put them on the truck to check clearance in the front. With the fender liners zip tied back, I have about 1/4” of clearance. The truck has a 2-1/2” front lift and the factory rear blocks were replaced with 2” blocks The wheels are 18x9 with +12 offset. Took it for a drive and I was surprised at how quiet these tires are. Even with the rear slider open I could hardly hear any tire noise.
