Florida just went to a higher level of stay home, so I figured it was time to put the Bilstein 5100s in my truck that I bought a year ago.

Getting them into my 2014 was tricky, but I used 1 compressor to shorten it just enough to let the lower mount clear the LCA.

Fast forward to now, with my '17 and stamped UCAs. Damn, my old cheat doesn't work!

Fought and struggled with it all day then decided to pack it in and start again tomorrow.

Then it hits me.

All that damn time I was trying to get my old trick to work to reinstall.

All I need to do is disconnect the steering linkage and drop the nut from the upper ball joint. Connect the strut assembly, and then push the whole thing up with the jack and reinstall the linkage and the ball joint nut.

Just finished up the intellectual property patent on these so I can post now. Took me a little time and my homies help with CAD but here is a one of set off face plates for the McGaughys lift traction bars and compression struts. Beveled with 45s to match the drop member face plate. Pretty juiced to see these cut in bulk next week!

Appreciate it brother but it ain’t that big of a thing. Haha But hopefully a cool little accent to bring cemetery between the polish & copper in the wheels and these polished to the copper traction bars on the lift kit.

Did some light offroading and got a feel for the new suspension set up. Now just have to wait for our governor to reopen the sand dunes!

Nice truck man. Love all your mods so far. Is it a 6.2?

Thanks. It is. Wishing I would have went a little bigger on tire size for these wheels. But for 600 dollars new with the stickers still on them I couldn’t pass the deal.

I love these things, I wish more of the automakers would get on board with this idea. My work trucks are fords and it’s literally the only thing I like about them. [emoji1787][emoji1787]

So that’s just automotive taped on there tho right? And it’s wireless and basically acts like another fob? How hard was it to program?
