just cruising the freeway is generally not the problem unless i'm doing 120+ in which case it gets a little warmer, its the fast accelerations that heat it up quick, drove it around a little more today and it's hanging around in the 135-145 range, outside temp was a warm 75-80 today, slightly aggressive driving. I'm happy with the results, I have the B&M deep pan sitting here that needs to go on it next.

Paint seems OK on plastic. The rubber seal is the older design. I opted to keep my factory seal + antenna and just swapped covers.

Nothing new but changed my phone holder so that it doesn't cover any of the screen from the drivers side and routed the cable into the top glove compartment so the cable is hidden. The cable currently just hangs which isn't a big deal since I always plug my phone in, but I might try and make/find a 3d printed piece that holds the base of the plug under the phone so it stays in place. Depends on how I'm feeling after a bit.

Finally installed my drivers side swingcase amid the quarantine. I have an extang solidfold 2.0 tonneau with the quick release handles. Extang’s site and a ton of threads I’ve seen say the two are not compatible. And I’ve seen installs where guys have cut like 2” off the handles. But peeps, I’m here to tell ya, that is poppycock. When closed, the swing case gently nudged the handle but not in a bad way. And when you wanna open the tonneau cover just swing out the case and pull the handle.

This is great to know as I’m in search of a new cover and I have a swingcase. 

Been looking and thought I was limited to a couple that say they work with a swingcase.

Added a fused box for my lights and other extra stuff. My terminals and wires for it was suppose to come today but no show. Sooo that’ll be added later. I added some extra wire so the lid can still come off

No problem! I actually love this extang cover. Super easy to use. Light so it’s easy on/off. And it looks great on these trucks. And it’s actually undercover’s site that says the swing case doesn’t work with this one. I think I had said it was extang’s. Either way tho, It works and I’m happy with it. [emoji1360]

nice, I almost went with the S&B but the cold air inductions inc. had oem type quick connects for the hoses instead of clamps so that kind of pushed me there way

For whatever it's worth you can always swap/buy the OEM connections if that is important to you. Gives you more options for CAI while keeping the factory plugs.

you can if the cai has the flare/nipple for it to clip on to and if they are the correct length.  The hose's that came with it were formed differently than the oem hose because of the location closer to the throttle body.

I spent about 3 1/2 hours cleaning my truck today. 
 

NOW ITS RAINING!!

 

At least I can say the new turtle wax hybrid spray wax works. I’m watching the beads roll as I type.

Yep, i know what thats like. I go out of my way to deep clean my midnight edition once a week and it snows or rains within 2 days every time. if you live near Colorado and it rains or snows, you can thank me and mine for it...
