That would be roughly 13 1/2" taller than stock and badass. BTW I think McGaughys quit making the basic black because nobody has them anymore . They were around $500 less than the Stainless trimmed kit. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk future upgrade still need uca’s (I was off on the price) 24 minutes ago, dieselfan1 said:

HoosierZ Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Airaid Jr intake and modified the air box for more flow. Went with the dry filter. The throttle feels more responsive and it clears up a lot of space in the engine compartment. I have a Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 programmer updated and ready to go for tomorrow. Can’t wait to get rid of the lazy throttle and firm up the transmission shifts. 1
HoosierZ Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Hooked up the programmer today and woke up the truck. Set the throttle response to sport, shift firmness to sport, shift response to sport, raised rev limiter 300 RPM, raised shift points 300 RPM to 5,800 and turned off AFM. It now puts a smile on my face when I hit the gas instead of stomping the pedal and waiting for the computer to decide what it wants to do. The shift response setting made a huge difference. Now, I don’t have to stomp the pedal to the floor to get it to downshift. Tomorrow, I’ll hook it back up and adjust the tire size to correct the speedometer. It’s not off very far with my 32.5” tires. I’m also gonna change the TPMS warning setting since I run 42-45 psi in my LR E tires. Today, I also changed the oil in my axles. I filled them back up with 75w90 Mobil Delvac. It’s one of the few gear oils that doesn’t contain limited slip additive. 5
CajunFries Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Replacement AFE filter came in couple weeks ago. Finally get to take the k&n off (only filter that’ll fit from what local Autozone have). K&N is nice but let too much fine particulate through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OffTheAir Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Started hearing noises coming from the engine bay during the past couple morning startups, almost like a hissing. This definitely isn't the first time I've heard it but now it's a little bit alarming. During some troubleshooting, I had thought it was when I had the heat/defroster on while warming up the truck because it seemed to go away when I turned it off, but must've just been a coincidence because now it sticks around. The truck doesn't seem to be driving any differently..? I really have no clue exactly where it's coming from, have to set up a check up hoping it's not too difficult/severe of a fix. Just really bummed out, this truck hasn't had any sort of problems in the four+ years I've been driving it.
SafetyDaveG Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Turned over 149,00 this AM. I'm outta the project, mileage should return to "normal", ~2k/month for a few months. 1

Warranty work?

It was prevalent when the engine was cold and often went away after being driven for a while. Sounded like a fluttering inside the truck.

Warranty work? ya, this has been a ongoing problem for the last year since I bought it just keeps getting progressively worse little by little, since I have "mods" to my truck the dealer didn't want to troubleshoot and just told me to bring it in when whatever it is fails, so I went directly to the service manager this morning while it was on the fritz and they are going to replace the radio module, he told me bring it in next week and they would scan it for the correct part number but I have a gds2 at home so I pulled it up when I got home and told the parts department to order it so it should already be there when I drop it off Monday. I am still in factory warranty plus I have another 3rd party warranty for 6 years so no worries for a good while. It's just a pia because you cant even listen to the radio at this point
