Everyone’s Suspension moves one side during backing up. Recommend strapping back liner or I’ve heard heat gun will do it too

Thanks, TXGREEK.  Will look for something with a 0 offset.

Did you go with 275x60R20s?

My first was 275/60/20 they rubbed with 2.25” level. Second rub was with +18 offset. Switched to +1 offset and all was good with 285/60/20 but slight rub on felt, zip tied it. Now I’m lifted and running 295/60/20 with same +1 offset wheels, Good luck

Btw, 20” wheels will ride slightly rougher than 18’s. In addition, you can get tires cheaper for 18’s rather than 20’s “AND!” You can find C rated in a lot of 18” tires with 33” tires

True.  And if I'd married an ugly woman I wouldn't have to worry about any other man wanting her...but sometimes we just want what we want.  LOL.

Guess I overspoke.  I'd love to have a 4 or 4.5 lift...but cannot afford it right now.  I don't like the component wear issues with the level kits that I keep hearing.  So...for right now, I wanted to go with a 275x60R20 AT.  Since I've got to buy new wheels, I just wanted some ideas on what offset to buy.  I've now heard -12 and +1.  I'm not like some of you guys that buy set after set until one works.  And I cannot find consistent info on searches.

My experience with the tire sizes and wheel Offsets I mentioned was after being leveled. I have no idea what will work just stock. The good thing about shopping for tires is that most tire shops will let you do a fitment test so you can make sure the bigger size will clear. I’d be very careful on the route you’re going making sure you don’t spend anything without being 100% positive. I would not strictly take strangers advice, I’d test it myself. Make sure that if you’re going with a bigger tires that you turn them left and right and imagine if you’re bouncing from a speed bump that you don’t want to rip your fender off or damage it by not having enough room for travel. Good luck

285/60/20 with 2” Moto fab leveling kit. Very slight rub on felt. Zip tied it back all clear.

I like that stance.

I was very pleased at how it turned out. Was going to try 305/55/20 but the tire shop said they wouldn’t fit. I think these are actually about right. They look wide enough too. Oh yeah. Toyo open country R/T

Finally replaced tires with Bridgestone’s A/T Revo 3’s in 275/65R18’s size and replaced the shocks with Bilsteins’ 5100 series.

Was surprised the RTs got me out of this, still impressed by these tires. Running em at 30 PSI. Went to go get a doe down a turn road surrounding a flooded rice field that was pretty much rotten. It got sketchy at times.  I should've taken pictures of the ruts left behind, they looked like tractor ruts. This pic doesn't show it cause it was at the end on higher ground. Oh side note i need fender flares.

Still what's in my sig. 295/70/17 and Bilstein 5100s at max ride height, so 1.8" or so. Have headers in storage waiting for warranty to expire, morimotos and Rigid lights that i've neglected for years i'm about to install. Wish i'd have gone ahead and upgraded to Bajakit's chase kit. New UCAs, Kings, and Deaver leafs would've been nice. Buddy of mine in my dental class likes to go on wheeling trips so might be doing that come our two week break in May.

    • Mine worked fine until I got an update also. After that sometimes it would not connect and Id have to turn CarPlay off and then back on for it to try to connect again. I think I have had two additional updates since this started and it has gotten better but still not perfect.
    • It’s probably water in the doors. Mine had tape over the drain holes! Poked them open and that took care of it. Now I’m waiting for the rust to come through!🤬
    • Hi all,   I just bought a 2021 suburban RST with 88,000 miles on it and everything has been good but I’ve been noticing within the last month or so that there are small electrical things going on and I know what the AGM batteries and all the electric electrical in these big trucks you need to have a constant flow with good voltage   That being said, I bought a new battery thinking that that might have something to do with it but today I went to get in and start it and it said no key found when I had the key right in my pocket   It also proceeded to flash the lights inside and outside for over 30 minutes as I went to disconnect the battery as soon as I touch the negative terminal, I heard the relay reset and everything come back up. I got in the truck and started it no problem.   Anyone else have this happen to them? I’m starting to think it’s the KARR system that the dealer installed short circuit stuff.
    • I don't drive this truck on a regular basis since I have a new company truck with no out of pocket fuel or maintenance cost. Yesterday I got it out to run some errands and got the title message on my DCI. A quick Google search suggested to first clean the Map Sensor. I pulled it out and it was sooty so cleaned it up and reinstalled it. Issue not resolved. My OBDII is a couple years old so didn't see any codes. Today I took it to a friend at AutoZone to get him to check it with his reader. It had the following codes: P20C3 P02BB P221F Stating the most likely solution is to replace diesel emission fluid (DEF) tank assembly.   So, I guess a trip to the dealer is necessary. I read where there was a backorder on these tank assemblies several years ago so hope that has been resolved.
    • Are you using a weight distribution hitch system with your trailer as that alone can change the actual tire pressure requirements needed. It would prove interesting to see what the actual individual axle weights are on your truck when you are hooked up to the trailer. In fact when your hooked to the trailer, typically if anything unless it has a large capacity weight distribution system that is over cranked, often the weight on the front axle will be less when hooked up vs driving empty and certainly if one doesn't have a weight distribution hitch. Really the only times one may get up there with weight on the steer axle is if there was a snow plow mounted on the front or a motorcycle on a rack or with a very large jockey tank full of fuel at the front of the box that transfers a bit of its weight to the front axle.    And of course your tires carry more weight for a given tire pressure due to their size vs a stock sized tire so there is that to take into the equation as well.
