Got my new air freshener!

 

Actually used to buy these all the time back in my "fast and furious" days :driving: and I always loved the smell.

 

 

 

you have a link?... what do you compare the smell to?

As far as smell goes, it's kinda had to compare because it really doesn't smell like most other air fresheners. It's called "Squash" but doesn't smell like actual squash lol.. It's more of a clean, refreshing scent. I've had a lot of people ask me where did I purchase it from because they loved the smell.

Found some strip LED lights at my local dirt Cheap. Basically what you can get from auto zone. Paid $7 for the strip $3 for a pack of quick connectors. I even stepped it up and spent another $4 on some good wire. Lol

How did you wire this up? I am looking to do those lights but I want them to come on when the other interior lights do.

Wires up with the interior dome lamp circuit. There are several ways to achieve this.

This is a pic of the BCM. The bottom right corner wire (thick grey wire) pin # 1 of the connector.

Do you have a little more information on this? I am new to modifying anything other then paint stuff. I am an electrician, but on helicopters not cars lol. I just don't want to mess anything up.

There are several places to tap this circuit as it is essentially any dome lamp light that comes on when you open the door.

Cool idea, I'm thinking about adding this to my list of mods done/to-be-done. My house keys are both vehicle keys are all separated out. I only take the vehicle key with me that I need and the ring of house keys, which gets tossed into the driver's door pocket, right under the armrest.

I only keep the truck key on my fob. I don't like carrying a bunch of keys around in my pocket. What I did to keep from hearing the fob on the column b knocking was buy one of those silicone fob covers. Fits good and no more knocking.

Seems like that could ruin the FOB's electronics...........

 

I use one of these to separate everything from the ignition key - ever since owning a 2500 - although the krys dance around far less on the 1500's smooth ride........... And this gives me a way to leave it running and lock it to run into the Post Office to check the PO Box every morning etc.......

Won't the magnet wear down the battery?

 

I remember someone else put a pad of foam there instead.

      Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.

      I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.

      2015 Sierra 1500 here. Leaks from the sunroof to front driver side and soaks carpet. How do I fix this? Thanks!

      I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
