So I finally saved enough money to get myself a set of Headers and went all out on a fully built 3" exhaust system for my 5.3

Yes, maybe the 1 7/8" Primaries and the dual 3" pipes are too big for the 5.3, but the fuel milage got a bit better and I love how the truck sounds, below is the video about it.

So, what do you guys think? Did I over do it or is it cool? one of the reasons I went with this set up is because I didn't seem to find anyone else who had it

Why 2 x pipes?

Corsa sells double x pipes for the C7 corvettes, and i believe they claim with 2 x pipes you have better low end and midrange torque, which would help me on the highway and towing.

Long story short, i just wanted to try it

VDellaV sounds pretty good and throaty to me.  Any interior drone other than around 80-85 mph 140-155 kph range?  I assume your Active Fuel Management has been deactivated.

That is a nice setup. Regular cab/short box = rocket.

I wouldn't call it fast with the 5.3, but it sure is fun to drive

I know this thread is older but how is the drone with this setup? I'm in the process of ditching my y pipe and 3.5" exhaust for a x pipe setup and running tips before the rear tire like yours.
