2018 High Country disappointed

Compared to my wife's 2015 Denali is pretty bad. I know they go with the lowest bidder. But even Dollar General has it's standards. What's with all this smoke at start up? What's with this gay blue dash that's not rgb or some other color. The back up camera looks like 480x600. Think I'll drive my E99 Powerstroke a lot longer.

Well ok.   Do that.

You bought an ‘18 HC and have smoke and gay blue lights?

Are you a troll or a less than super sharp pencil trying to draw a conclusion?

Agreed. Smoke on startup seems like an issue thats under warranty. And what do you mean by blue dash.   Nothing makes sense

I think he's referring to the Blue back lighting that Chevy's have always had, unlike the red back lighting his wife's GMC has. Because, you know they are different brands. I also don't think he bought a High Country, just test drove one. Either way who ****ing cares, most people that come on a site and within only 3 posts, bitch about a truck they don't even own, are usually just trying to start something and really aren't worth the time of day. They just clutter the site with stupid shit.

Gentlemen, the OP does bring up some very good points. Like wearing a hat, apparently the sun CAN directly affect your brain...melt it and such. Vitamin D and a lack of milk at birth...it does go a long way. Apparently fiber is more important than maybe we were lead to believe? Without it you could very well be full of shit. Walk down your stairs...don't just throw yourself head first and think everything will be alright. Evidently dents in your head really do hinder future and present performance.

So all these old wise tails people suggested to us really are neccesary, just ask the OP.

I had a late 90s power stroke in a 3/4 ton lariat. It pulled well but in comparison to a 1/2 ton high country? It was noisy, had wind noise bad, road rough and 220 HP. He must have been hitting the whiskey hard when he wrote his thread.

A little criticism about quality control and someone is a troll. I know after dropping 50k down everyone wants to hear that these are the best trucks ever. Just saying their quality has really dropped in the past 2 to 3 years. With 2 in the driveway to compare to. It's easy to see the differences.

Probably because you have started two threads and only two and both of them are bitching about something. So in three years that is your contribution to the site!

Well your original post had seven "sentences" in it...you called the truck gay, compared it to a dollar store, mentioned "pretty bad", lowest bidder, made fun of the camera, said it smoked and compared it to two different vehicles (one being 19 years old, that apparently is better).

So that isn't a "little criticism". Troll is a compliment.

220hp hell. How about 200 stock with mine. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's ego but sorry boys GM took the cheap route for the final year for these trucks. They did the same from my 90 Silverado to my dad's 94. Same with Ford with the front grill peeling the plastic chrome off after just one year.

I didn't too much shopping when I bought my HC. With wife's truck I knew pretty much what I was getting. I thought. Nissan and Dodge was out of the question. GMC and Ford's grill were to blingy for me. I do like the dark interior with the gray trim on mine. Now that is a touch of class in these HCs. The 6.2 is definitely the power train to get.

This is an interesting observation.  Please elaborate.   I'm asking is because I like my '15 so much that I'm considering an '18.  The only difference I can see between the two years are refinements and improvements.  There are many members on this forum who have taken advantage of the model end deals and are very happy with their new trucks.  I'm hoping to restart the clock on my truck if the price is right so I look forward to hearing specific examples of where quality has deteriorated.  Thanks!

Like, my ‘18 has better tires than your ‘15 has?   How do we ‘splain that?

Finally someone that's not a zombie fanboy that wants the most for his hard earned money. Donstar with you having a 15 you will be quick to notice the differences in the years. I didn't buy the truck to hate it. You can easily see that the accountants got ahold of this and saved GM some money. To me it's the best looking truck on the road today.( Happy fanboys) and they nailed the interior. It's the small things that you will notice. There was a WOW factor with the wife's Denali, not this one. The list is small as to what I have noticed within a few weeks of having the truck. But makes you wonder what else the cheapened up on. Hard to explain but will post some pics if I can to show you the differences I noticed. Just want a the most for what these trucks cost us.
