Sounds great at moderate to WOT. Outside of that, it’s pretty low key. I’m really happy with it so far.

The GM CAI is the only one that comes with a reflash for the MAF calibration. Otherwise, there is no way for anyone to tune these trucks. So every other intake, including this, is designed to operate on the stock tune.

Doesn't that make you think, you need a tune with a CAI? As minimal a mod as it is, it can have huge influence on performance, especially shift points. My 2016 LT w/ airraid MIT acted up from time to time.

Maybe, but it might be more on the lines that GM has a reflash for emissions.  At least that is my understanding since they sent me a sticker to put under the hood by the GM CAI I installed.

I finally got a break in the weather and installed my BD Trims tailgate letters.

I think they really compliment the theme and turned out great.

I highly recommend BD Trims.

I really like the look of those letters.  Might do those on my Northsky Z71.  I was thinking black, but I like the outline contrast.

I had never seen a outlined set of letters like yours until now .  Definitely my favorite look.

Yeah, it certainly did make me think. It has long been accepted that a tune is the best way (some would say the only way) to get any type of positive results from an intake. Putting that aside, and also putting aside my own displeasure with the MIT on my 2016...so far so good.

I’ve put about 125 miles on it in every type of driving, on all of the same roads I’ve driven before...there hasn’t been any difference in the way it shifts or generally behaves. Further, in some fairly scientific (but not perfect) performance testing, I am seeing some definite gains. I will be posting up the results of that in the Roto-Fab thread, which is here in the “mods” sub forum.

Yeah fair enough. And good to hear it's performing well ?

Sounds like we both fell for those false claims/results of the MIT being the "best" intake ahah.

Thanks amigo.  And thanks for the sizing tips.  The wider tire looks better than stock street tires it had.
