John, do you know how to get a hold of a set of harnesses for the front dash speakers? I'd rather not cut them. I have 2 sets coming for the front and rear doors.

I’m interested in this as well.

Also, reached out to this eBay seller regarding these pillars, awaiting a response.

They also have expanded PVC speaker adapters, I asked for pics of the finished adapters.

I wouldn't be surprised if the harness that works in the door would work in the dash as well. GM tends to keep those the same,at least they have on a lot of their models. Order a set of those from Crutchfield and if they don't work then just return them OR try to doctor them to make em work.....like maybe removing the pins from the connector itself and inserting them into the stock pins.Who knows, they might fit??

Another thing you could use are posi taps. They are much less invasive than typical splicing. In any case if you go a route that you have to manipulate it then email me and I'll give you the wiring colors on each side so you're not guessing.

Ok, I'll let you know if I need some help. I have two sets of connectors on order so I'll see what the difference is at some point.

Another question for the masses, obviously you can't really use a DMM to set the gains on the amp because we have no idea what the factory RMS rating is on the Bose amp. So my plan is to use an o-scope to verify at what volume level the signal starts to clip. Unless someone already knows this?

I pulled my Bose dash speakers this weekend to confirm what ohms they are. Here is some pics of the connectors as well.

I don't see any pics of the connectors....

Did they unplug as one or did each wire unplug separately?

I guess that pic put me over the limit. It was one connector.

Excellent, have you had the door speakers out yet? Any chance they're the same? I'm still waiting on my harnesses to show up so I have nothing to compare these to.

Which harnesses are you waiting on?

I'm waiting on door harnesses. I'm wondering if the dash speaker connector is the same as the door connectors? I'd rather not cut any wiring when I install my system.

I should have been more clear, which brand harness?

The dash speaker plug is different from the door speaker plugs so they won’t work. Don’t cut off your dash speaker plugs. Just tap into each wire and extend it to your replacement speakers. I did this a few days ago.
Use wire strippers to score the wire insulation behind the factory plug and pulled the insulation to each side to expose the copper wiring. Be careful not to damage any copper strands. Wrap your new wiring around the exposed copper and solder it. Seal it up and you’re done. The factory plugs will still be there in case you ever need them again.
