I have a 2015 SLT and would like to install an IPAD PRO 12.9 into the dash. I have to relocate the climate controls and the radio control clusters to the center console. Has anyone seen an extension for the AWM 20706 60v 105c VW-1 Ribbon that connects the radio control cluster to the board on the back of the monitor? It resembles the picture. I need a cable that is about 12 inches long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen extensions for ribbon cables. Let me look....
So depending on how many pins you can buy a new cable or people stripped them and extend be hand.

How are you going to connect the ipad to the radio? Do you mind showing how you completed this when done?

Through Bluetooth. I currently have an Ipad Air in it now but did not need to relocate anything for it. This is my set up right now...

Thanks. Im thinking of doing the same. So all the controls are still factory and this just allows music via Bluetooth?

You may already know this but there is a how to video of a guy that did this and there is a app that allows you to control everything from on and off times to audio. I hate apple but still cool.
Also I'm still waiting for someone to buy the Phoenix dash. It is larger screen and plug and play.

I'll have to pull that vid up again. I thought he had made some other connections.

I second that Phoenix. I was thinking of using it as well.

Lastly been thinking of scraping all the factory stuff and running a pad of some sort, line driver/ preamp/ crossover and amp. If this is even possible.

Very possible but the issues are steering wheel controls, onstar, chime, ect...
There is a steering wheel to universal adapter.
I would say a bluetooth to high end line driver and then rca on that to amps.
Or a permanent molded in iPad and hard wire everything in.
