Someone really needs to start an “I hate my new truck because _____” thread so we can consolidate all of these redundant posts venting about the same things every week.

New trailboss , $56,000 dollar truck and I have to pay GM on star to have a road map on my display.  ?!  My 16' had it  , my 2008 GMC had it but now I have to pay monthly.

**** you GM !!!

Backup camera doesn't work,

Transmission clunks and shifts awful,

vibration in front end ,

steering wheel sloppy,

tailgate sometimws won't open,

my brakes are horrible , pedal to floor ,

i hate this truck seriously and it's a good thing I lease this one.

Last POS GM I will ever drive and I hope it blows an oil cooler line next,  because it will for sure burn to the ground !!

56k or 57k which is it? Either way you need to spend more to get the road map display. Not sure why you think X amount of money entitles you to something. You should have know about missing features when you don't buy the top of the line truck. The other stuff is easily addressable at the dealer or with time to learn (transmission). Either way, best of luck with the other brands, they are no better...

Actually there no option for factory installed nav off the assembly line for the trail boss...

We could go all day about what should or shouldn’t be included for “x” amount of dollars, but in the end it’s up to the buyer to do the research and uncover these type of “feature shortcomings” before inking the contract.

If having Nav was make or break I would almost guarantee you the dealer would have tossed in the map card and programming for you at the time of lease. The upgrade costs GM next to nothing, save for presumably a small licensing fee on the maps.

Now granted, your truck needs to have Convenience Package II in order to take the nav upgrade, but I’m thinking at a 56-57k sticker price it should have most every option and will be ready to go.

While it’s at the dealer for the other issues, ask them what’s the best they can do on the nav upgrade, get everything sorted out and enjoy the truck.

I agree.... didn't you check options before purchasing? My LTZ came with Navigation, however after using google maps satellite view thru Apple Car Play I don't care for GM Nav option.

Yep that's an upgrade done at the dealership. It's not available straight off the assembly line with nav...

And that is just the Audio System. Whole truck reads like an encyclopedia. Take about a month and a lawyer to unravel but hey, you have five minutes before "this once in a lifetime  kill' a deal is void an null". Can I get you a bottle of water?  Stale popcorn?

No offense but honestly that plates right into the dealership's hand. Know exactly what you want before you set for on the lot. They don't know what to do when you know now than they do...

Clearly, if it didn't have Nav then it wasn't 'fully loaded'.

I guess not. Lets call it "mostly loaded".  But i figured a LTZ Midnight that has almost every other option would have it included. Not that i'm bitching, as it is an expensive upgrade that is completely unnecessary to me.

google updates their maps on my phone for free whenever they need to. Why would anyone pay for a map that is loaded onto the truck's memory and becomes obsolete the day you drive it home?

I just like being able to move the navigation screens to the DIC, HUD or split screen with the radio. CarPlay does not integrate nearly as nicely or as flexible. I also like to use my wireless charger and not have to rely on the phone being plugged in for everything. Or rely on the phone at all.

Not saying phone-based navigation doesn’t have it’s advantages too, but there certainly are still many good reasons to get the embedded navigation.

For some of use, a truck isn't an impulse purchase.
