so if you have conv 2 pkg, premium info system and SD card reader this will get you wireless charging and navigation?........am guessing you need center console for this?, no bench seat

From what I have read, you should be able to do this. If you look up the RPO codes for your truck, look for IOS or IOT. If you have either of them then you will be able to do the upgrade. If you have IOR, like I do, then you’re out of luck. You will get navigation and HD radio if you don’t already have them.

This doesn’t not control wireless charging. If you have a jump seat, you will have to swap that out for the center console and all the parts that go with it to get wireless charging. Or find a different solution/mod for wireless charging.

If I knew I could get at least $600 for my current radio, I would probably do it. I already have HD Radio and Nav. The only thing I would be getting out of this would be the wireless carplay. Any idea what used radios fetch.

I will hands down buy this the day it comes out for the 19's.

Ditto.

I've tried every adapter known to man.  I haven't got a single one to work.

My understanding is that the 19 is missing an antenna/radio that it needs and they are trying to figure out how to reliably add that before they offer it up for the 19's.

I'm interested in the upgrade too.  I saw the comment above in other post as well and have to say I'd like to understand that better.  My 2019 has nav (so must have a gps antenna) and it has the ability to act as a hotspot in the vehicle, so presumably has a wife antenna.  Wonder what antenna's missing?

Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto antenna?

Just for everyone's info, I ordered mine about ten days ago.

It turns out if you have the upgraded radio (IOS), but you do not have BOSE, this is not common. They emailed me and asked permission to test a new build of the software on my module and see if it works. If it does not work, they will refund part of the cost and  will send another unit that definitely will add carplay, but not NAV. I am hopeful the first option works as I probably would not have paid that much just for the wireless carplay, I don't think the pricing is unfair I just talked myself into it by justifying the cost because of the NAV upgrade. The dealer charges $400 for a nav upgrade.

Another thing is the company doesn't really provide a phone number for customer service and emails go to a general inbox. It is very difficult to get updates on your shipping time. They do provide generic info on how long to expect processing to take for their different types of products... but this kit doesn't really fall easily into any of the categories. You do get a brand new module, but it is also custom programmed for your build via your VIN.

I am really hoping it just works. But all in all the company seems pretty legit, just wish their communication was better.

No mine is a 2020 SLT, no Nav, no BOSE, but I do have the IOS higher res screen with the key profiles and stuff.

I didn't think it was that uncommon, but apparently the IOS system usually includes Bose and so having the IOS high res screen without Bose means they need to create a new version of their software or something.

I am hopefuly it works out. I have been using those wireless carplay adapters in my 2018 Silverado for a year and its very nice, wireless carplay is 2x more convenient than regular carplay. It would be great to have a more stable version of that that actually works in the T1, and also to add NAV.

Ordered mine the other day. Can not wait....

And to the one that asked about selling his radio, if its not been unlocked(your vin taken out), you will not be able to sell it on ebay or such and expect them to be able to use it by just the dealer reprogramming it.  All new models dealers can not reflash anymore to change vins to get it to work.  Would have to be sent to a place like WAMS or a the place GM does their business with to have it unlocked.

    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
    • I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
    • I haven't seen inventory recovery from COVID.    In the few random times I 'build my own' truck or SUV, no one has the exact one I want.   GM has been working to lower incentives too for a long time.    A $500 incentive isn't getting me off the couch to go truck shopping.
