Yea, the reset worked for me too.  I did both the audio and truck settings (yea, had to reconfigure door locks, windows, etc.) just for grins.  Figure GM flashes a custom set of Infotainment/audio settings at the factory but probably from a different firmware image or something.  I went from a 25 year old truck to this 2021, so despite being in IT, I'm still learning that my new truck is actually a computer that happens to have an engine.  😉

So same issue with my 2021 Silverado 2500HD LT

2 weeks old and it would not save the settings, radio wouldn't come on when truck was started.

Did the complete reset this morning.

As for now the settings I set this morning have worked all day and the radio is on when I start the truck.

Go to settings and reset system, I had 2 options ( don't recall what they said) but I reset both.

Had to enter phone info etc and reprogram the favorite stations but it's worth it as long as it is solved.

Will report back if it fails.

Thanks for the info about reset.

These are the steps I followed to reset the radio in my truck:

1) Browse the radio menu's to Settings > System > Return to Factory Settings

2) Select Reset Vehicle Settings

3) Wait to reset

4) Select Erase Settings and Personal Data

5) Profit

I reset my radio on 4/16/21 and I haven't had a problem since.

I’m having the same issues in my 2021 Silverado LT. the equalizer resets to zero, and the volume goes way loud when starting the truck. This is highly annoying!

Do a system reset in settings, it worked for me and a few others on here.

Most every time I start up my truck I have to reset my Equalizer settings. It goes back to the default settings. 0 across the board. Does anyone else have this problem?

Go into settings and scroll till you see Reset I don't recall exactly where but its there.

There will be 2 options , I did the reset for both.

You then have to program the radio again, phone stations etc..

Mine has been fine since I did it 2 weeks ago.

Good luck

I am new here, but I created an account because I was having the same Equalizer issues, where it would reset to all 0s once the vehicle turned off. I have a 2021 GMC Sierra, and the way that I got it to stop doing that was to go into the vehicle settings and tap the audio tab. from there you can set the equalizer setting to what you want. It was stopped resetting since.

I have the same issue. Seems very strange that you need to reset every time you start up.

I hope there is just a glitch..........

I have the same problem. Pain in the ass.
