I just purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra truck. I have set the channels which are staying set but the EQ settings keep going back to default settings when I get in and restart the truck back up.

Any suggestions?

You have to change the sound eq in the settings menu. The sound button on the Home Screen is for temporary tuning.

I’m having the same problem with my Silverado. I’ll have to try that. I wonder when that changed?

In my 2019 camaro I always used the sound settings on the Home Screen and they never changed.

I have the same problem with my equalizer settings. The phone volume, voice volume, and ringer volume also drop to no volume. Can not even hear phone ring. Service manager said “known problem” and will check for an update. I called again today for an update.

New 2021 Silverado 1500 Z71 having the same issues. Has been to the dealer 2 times already. Picked it up today and the advisor went out there to verify. I stuck the key in and turned it over and settings were where they set them. I returned later to take truck home stuck key in started it up and rechecked and it was all back to 0 settings. There has to be a fix. I have saved settings in both areas.

I have the same issue with my 2021 Silverado. My EQ settings go back to 0 and my radio volume is all the way down every time I start the vehicle. It will remember the setting if I turn the vehicle off then turn it right back on, but if I wait 10 minutes it resets to 0.

My dealer has no idea on how to fix. They had it all day and went back and forth to check it and as soon as I started it up it zeroed out. If you find a dealer that has a clue please post.

Have had my 2021 Elevation for about 4 days.  I just started noticing that my EQ settings don’t save. Also the same problems as some of the others - the volumes of the phone and the radio always go to the very bottom as well. I reset the radio. Reset the EQ settings. Will see if there’s any change tomorrow. No known fix is troubling yo me.

I had my vehicle at the dealer today and mentioned it and they looked it up. Said there is no known fix yet but the engineers are aware and currently working on an fix. I did a factory reset today though as I had a phone connected on bluetooth before that I couldn’t remove from the Home Screen.

Ok so I have a 2015 gmc sierra 1500. after backing up and putting it into drive I get going for about 5 to 10 seconds ill get a jarring lock up for a split second. First time it happened I was going about 40 and I bounced off the steering wheel and left a little skid mark. It sounds like either my transfer case or transmission is locking up but it literally lasts for a split second then goes away. also I've noticed that after shifting from reverse I hear a loud transmission whine before it does it. This has happened at least 30 times for about a year and dealer says they can't recreate it.
      It's the 6spd tranny

Also I know all about the normal GMC transmission clunk when shifting I have that too but I've learned to live with it. This is something else entirely. Its dangerous and I can't find anything on any forum mentioning this issue

I was wondering if there is someone that can help me with this truck. It has a rebuilt s&j engine (5.7l 4 bolt main) that I have been fighting to get running well.  It has had all new sensors put on it except one thing to note is I received a bad engine with a cracked block installed the first go around and it was ran for a day to work and then next day back to the mechanic so it may have affected the new o2 sensor put on the good engine but I'm not sure. Well this 2nd engine runs really rough when its cold out and the colder it is, the rougher it runs.  It takes like 5 to 8 revolutions before it starts and it runs good for about 2 seconds then it just hits the floor, back firing and missing like crazy.  Another thing it does is once in a while the volts will drop from 14 down to 10 like the alternator stops working for 1 second then it jumps right back up. I've tried 3 different alternators and nothing seems to change it. It's like something gets turned on for 1 second thats shorted to ground and then shuts right back off but I'm not sure what it could be or if it has anything to do with the other issue. I've put new plugs and wires, rebuilt throttle body with injectors, map sensor, distributor, spark control module, knock sensor with pigtail, ignition coil, fuel pump, both coolant sensors, egr valve and solenoid, iac valve with pigtail, ecm and 3 different alternators. It really lacks power when it is warmed up and its getting bad gas mileage compared to the original engine.  I used a red devil river aldl cable and tuner pro rt to pull some data off of it but I need help figuring out why the blm is so low. Is it because of my o2 sensor or what could it be? What could be causing my voltage to drop off like that? I can't get it to drop voltage with the tuner pro connected either. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am new to this tuner pro data stuff.  Thanks!

      Hi
I'm new in this group, I hope you guys could help me out.
I'm driving a GMC SIERRA 2014 ALL TERRAIN MODEL and I been trying replace my blower motor resistor, but the problem is that... I don't know where is located, according Google, amazon and o'reilly I bought the correct one. Every body is saying that is normally next to the blower in the passenger side, but I couldn't find it. I'm leaving photos to show you guys how it looks right where the blower is..

      Thanks

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra Denali with a park assist problem I’m hoping someone can help me solve. A couple months ago, I started getting a sporadic “park assist blocked” error. This is pretty common as the sensors are covered in snow in the winter. However, I then noticed the sensors began to work sporadically even if they were clear. A month or so after that, the message changed to “service park assist” and the system automatically disables itself. The button on the dash shows the system is off all the time and when I try to turn it back on, the orange light flashes for two seconds but then disables itself again. I’ve checked the fuse and unplugged the battery but have not been able to get it to reset. Does this seem like a sensor issue or a control module? Any ideas for next steps? Unfortunately since the system is disabled all the time I can’t check to see if one sensor is malfunctioning as I’ve read about on other forums.

Update: when I started my truck once this week it randomly worked for 10 seconds then disabled itself again and hasn’t worked since.

I know there are a few different forums on this topic, but they seem to have gone dead. The steering in my truck clicks and clunks especially at low speeds, and the truck wanders on the highway. I am constantly holding the wheel to the left or right to go straight. I have had the intermediate shaft replaced per the service bulletin. After it was replaced some of the noises were reduced, but not eliminated and the truck will still not track straight especially at highway speeds. It almost feels like a bad tie rod end or ball joint, but the dealership said everything is nice and tight, and I checked just for my sanity. I also added a steering stabilizer in hopes this would help. Is anyone else having these issues, and have you been able to get them fixed?
