I have a 2021 have the same problem you do all the same lights , and running like a zombie 🧟‍♂️ truck not a 70k truck I thought by buying a new 2021 I wouldn’t have a issue my dodge 1500 2008 Ram is still going strong with 250,000 miles. I called the service department at my dealer only to be told to find my own rental and towing company I figured spending all this money I wouldn’t have a issue

If you think the amount of money spend will prevent a problem, then you're either a politician or willing to buy an imaginary bridge.

For the record, my truck falls into the range of faulty valve springs.  This could very well happen to me.

That is what gets me also, people think that they paid 70-75k for a vehicle that there shouldn't be any problems and it gets special treatment and better parts. I hope they know that when the truck is built it comes down the same assembly line as a base WT truck and there price just means they have more options and crap to drive the price up.

GM must know something as today they put a special return on the replacement part # prior to a specific build date range.  Any dealer with stock packaged that date or prior they can't use them/sell them.

What is the date range?

I had my 2021 LT Trail Boss with the 5.3L engine towed to the dealership yesterday.  While driving home from work, the truck started a really rough idle, engine knocking, random misfiring, had Service Emergency Brake, Service ESC messages on the display, check engine light and several other dash warning lights.  I pulled a P0300 code for random misfire.  The dealer diagnosed the truck with a lifter failure.  I haven't been told which cylinder(s) had the failure, but has anyone else had this issue on a 2021 Silverado?  I have 6,200 miles on the truck, and this seems a bit soon to have such major issues with an engine.  At what point does GM decide this is a recall and replace all the lifters?  I suspect, based upon what I've read on the forums, most who are plagued with the failing lifter issue, return to the dealership with additional failed lifters.

I have a 2021 Silverado 1500 LT 4 wheel drive 5.3L engine. I bought it new Dec 2020. In March 2021 @ 4500 miles the knocking and ticking started, had to have the lifters done. Then in May 2021 at 9100 the hiccuping began on the highway followed by knocking, ticking and grey smoke from the tail pipe, I had to have the lifters done again. This morning at 11,000 miles I heard a couple of knocks and the beginnings of a tick.

Same problem here. 2021 TL, 5.3 and at 7900 miles it started shuttering going down interstate at 80 mph. Got off and went to nearest chevy dealership. Said push rod bent and been waiting on back ordered lifter.
i was told “we can only replace the bad one”  not any others that have not failed. Means I will be back again i guess. I will contact the dealer i bought it from and verify with them that only the failed part can be replaced. BS to say the least

2021 High Country, 6.2 with 9700 miles.

Dreaded lifter failure hit me on the way up the pass. Take a listen to the attached vid. Stopped almost immediately. Roadside sent tow in about two hours so, not so bad.  That was 20 days ago. Just heard from service department, said only one lifter was damaged. Replacing all cylinders though, but…..there are no available parts!  Nationwide back order.  No clue when they will be in stock.  Will know more in 48 hours.

SM did say trucks with build dates from Oct 20 to March 21 were most affected. Mine is Jan 21. Said new parts with new numbers are being installed now, not the same as built with. Said he has confidence it will resolve the issues.

Have to say, I love this truck. When it’s running that is.

Anyone have similar or other data regarding their situation?  10 more days and lemon kicks in. Thinking of moving to Duramax.

Mine did this on May 21.  Sat over that weekend and took it to the dealership on Monday May 24.  Still no answer of when it will be repaired.  I have been calling everyday for 2 weeks and still no-one at the dealership will even call me back on it so I literally know nothing except the bent push rod, failed lifter and coil.  I am really trying not to lose my cool.  I have read the lemon law in Texas but I really do not think all of that is going to be worth my time.

Call GM and tell them to start making your monthly payments. People have had success with that.

Funny thing is, I called GM and opened a request on Friday.  They said I would hear back in 2 business days which is today.  No call from the dealership yesterday or from GM but today the dealership service manager called to tell me that the parts are in and my truck is tore down and should be ready tomorrow.

Hopefully I get the call from GM.

When I do, I will mention that.  Thanks for the advice.  I am 2 boat payments and 2 truck payments in the hole since I can't tow my boat.

Service called and said parts coming in today. Through around lemon law comments at dealer and explored trade options. No comparable trucks anywhere.  Will be repaired by tomorrow.  Hope it’s fixed.

I just got the call from the dealership.  My truck is ready.  I stopped by there the other day and spoke to the technician.  He had them order parts for all cylinders so the top of the engine was completely tore down while I was there.

GM suggested that I test drive the truck with the technician so I could point out anything that I thought was not normal.

I also spoke to GM about lemon law and options.  They said they were working on rebuilding trust in GM vehicles and were willing to discuss reimbursement option if I decided not to follow the lemon law route.

Glad to hear they are making effort to do the right thing for you.

Went to pick mine up today, only replaced one side.  Service manager said they were going to do all of them. I guess with mileage over 8000 they will only do a side with a problem.  SM said he’d ask GM if i could get others side and would let me know.  Soooo….I’ll likely be back again.

I’ll drive it a few days a see how it goes. Might go ahead and seek the reimbursement option. Only problem, no vehicles till late in year or next year most likely.
