Were you able to trade locally or did you have to travel?

Saw a GMC dealer offering $11,000 off near St Louis for SLE's,

am sure there are hoops to jump through to get even most of that number though.

Nice. Congrats! I'm assuming that the "Z71 appearance pkg" still gets the body-colored front bumper. I haven't seen one on the lot here w/ that package since they went to the chrome front bumper last year, but I don't go around looking at other dealers either.

 

Thanks. And, yes, the appearance package gets the painted front end...which I personally like much better than the all-chrome grille and bumper.

I made the deal locally...but the truck came from Indiana. With rebates and incentives, I ended up getting around $8,000 off MSRP....that $11,000 off sounds like a lot...but I guess it's worth a phone call, lol

Because you can get a 2WD with the logos of what was the original hard core factory off road kit. Kind of like the mid 00's SS that Chevy made, there was little SS about them(when a V6 accord can spank a Monte Carlo SS, it shouldn't be called an SS...yeah I know the first SS's were appearance packages, but that didnt last long)

Well I don't know that the Z71 package was ever a 'hard core' off road kit' but I understand what you're saying, haha.
