Well everyone, I bought a new truck. It's a new 2012 Silverado 1500 LT, 4x4, extended cab, in graystone metallic, with the Z71 appearance package. It has the 5.3 engine, 6-speed transmission, and 3:42 gears. It's an all star edition with the convenience package added. The MSRP was $38,415.

Things I've added/done so far:

Zone Offroad 2" leveling kit and 2" rear blocks (removed the factory block)

LT275/65/18 Cooper Discoverer AT3's (Load Range C)

18x9 Moto Metal 951's (+18 mm offset)

5% window tint

GM bedliner and wheel well liners

Plasti-Dipped bowties

I still have a few more things in mind, but I ran out of money for right now, haha. Enjoy the pictures, and let me know what you think!

The day I brought it home:

Very nice man! Makes me wish I opted for the darker grey!

Its a pain to keep clean, trust me my other vehicle is Ashen Gray. Sheer Silver is much easier to take care of

Thanks for the kind words guys! I'm very happy with it so far!

nice looking truck, why did you get rid of your last truck? your last truck was awesome

Thank you. I traded for a couple reasons. Graystone metallic has always been my favorite color, and 2012 is the first year back, since 2009. I was tired of trying to keep my old truck clean. I'm really particular about my vehicles, and taking care of my black truck drove me nuts. It was the 3rd black vehicle I've owned, and I was ready for a change. Also, my old truck was just starting to get a few squeaks and rattles that I didn't like. I was also hoping to squeeze a couple more MPG out of the 5.3. Basically, I just really wanted a new truck, haha.

I debated on the silver as well...but decided I liked the graystone metallic much better. And Ryan, it's much lighter than Ashen Gray. Those are two very different colors. Ashen gray is closer to the color of my old truck, black granite...which is terrible to keep clean if you drive it. Graystone is very easy to take care of.

Nice. Congrats! I'm assuming that the "Z71 appearance pkg" still gets the body-colored front bumper. I haven't seen one on the lot here w/ that package since they went to the chrome front bumper last year, but I don't go around looking at other dealers either.
