Looking at getting the 4.5" zone lift. Going to run 34 or 35's. I was curious if anyone has any pictures or experience. Have done my fair share of research and read I will also need spacers on the rear.

4.5 is cutting it, if you want to run 20s. I have the 6.5 zone and installed it myself. I am running 35x12.50x 20 toyo MTs with 0 offset. I added bds leaf to my rear end and Fox full coilovers with reservoirs and a 2” spacers to bump me up more. Upgraded my UCA to Cognito. Before fox, I ran Bilstein and loved them.

I have a zone 4.5 with 33s. Me and my brother installed it over a weekend. Have no issues so far rides nearly the same as stock maybe a tad stiffer. I have bora 2 inch spacers in rear looks identical to front looking down front of truck. Wheels are 18x9 -12 offset

Awesome looking ride! So you run spacers on just the back? How have they been? You have any additional pics?

Yeah I have 20 inch AllTerrain rims. I've seen two guys running the 4.5" Zone with 35's but they never said if they had rear spacers or not. Sweet ride man!

If you don’t mind cutting a chunk out of the steel part of your bumper and hammering in the lower part of the rear of your front fenders you can definitely put 35’s on a 4.5 knuckle lift.. on a stock rim was zero offset you’re gonna have a little bit better chance with the turning radius but still it’s gonna take some alterations.

Not a big fan of stuffing the wheel wells. Seems counterintuitive to having a lift kit, especially if you plan on off roading where clearance is important. You don’t want to be scraping the bottom of your truck on tree branches and rocks and the more clearance you have, the deeper water you can tread without worrying about flooding your exhaust.  I run a 6inch BDS with Fox 2.0s. 20x10 Fuels. 35x12.50 Nitto Ridge.

I'm on stock gears in my 6.2. the 8 speed seems to make up for it.

I'm running 37's on a 9" McGaughys with my 5.3 3.42's

It's not as bad as everyone makes it sound. It gets down the road just fine.

Half of those guys are running stock trucks so they really are just going by what they heard.

Sure it could use some 4.10-4.56 gears but I'm not racing anyone so I really don't care.

Looking at the various lifts in the 4"-4.5" range, they all seem to require either cutting out the crossmember completely, or some form of cutting it.  Doesn't that weaken the heck out of the frame?

It's just a small chunk of the pocket where the lower control arm mounts. The new crossmember supplied with the lift is where the LCA is relocated. The small piece that is removed is to allow clearance for the front differential to be dropped. The replacement crossmember is much beefier then the one removed.
