yea, me too. unfortunately, this truck has driven me insane. I'm leaning towards Ford right now.

Nothing wrong with going to the blue oval. I've got nearly 80k miles on my 2012 work ford 150 work truck with no major problems. The 6 speed does hunt for gears and stay in to high of a gear just like my silverado plus it does shake on the interstate but for what I do for a living my rims usually have mud inside of them. The 5.0 is not as responsive IMO as the 5.3 but really opens up when it gets in the higher rpms.

Well, I'm going to keep this brief, I heard back from GM today, they are saying my truck is operating as designed and won't do anything. I've contacted another attorney, separate from the class action attorney, and will be filing lemon law.

Made a appointment to get my radio looked at and all they talked about was the new recalls that need done. They are avoiding my radio issue. Two recalls they cannot do because of no parts.

Took truck in today radio and recalls. One recall done and two having no parts. I think the hitch is on back order and the seatbelt parts are ?. Here's what is said about my radio.11004 Checked over per doc 4055001 and found radio has internal failure. Parts on order. Said it would be a few days to receive parts. Dealer said bring other truck in and they would check it again. Did give them my case no. and it seemed to help their willingness to help today. Was told I would receive a new radio with a software upgrade. Hopes this helps!

How many guys had success directly with radio issues on a buyback, unfortunately I may be heading that way, even my service manager is pushing me, have a appt on weds for radio replacement, but today my power loss light came on engine lights and truck derated, so it got to go in early

Jesse D was right on. Dealer installed a new radio and a software upgrade. Gave it a few days for a trial and no reception difference. The fix was labeled PI1288B.Programmed radio and set up-USB&SPS.Code 8067D.

I also had something done last week, gotta pick up paperwork tomorrow and will let u know what PI, its not falling out if HD aa much but now I have a background noise while in HD, w/o HD the sound is better,

Sent GM a PM. See what the next step is. Are the 16's radios better? Understand they are different but don't recall how. Wonder if the $3500 alpine has better reception and if they use orig antenna? Does anyone have one? Seen the install on utube. WOW. Airbags are now the big focus! Safety related and should be. Night everyone 12 hours tomorrow.

I would not call the 2016 trucks radio's "better", they are marginally better at best.

I agree, I drove a 16 and felt that is was better than the one in my truck, but still not fixed

I had the update done for my loud door chime a few months back and since then it "seems" that my radio is better. I did not want to comment on the improvement right afterwards, especially since I only drive the truck a few hundred miles a month. I drove my truck quite a bit the last few weekends and my reception is better and the sound is better, but still not as good as it is in all my other vehicles.

What update is there available for the loud door and seatbelt chime? (Non-bose system) ?

Also has anybody update to a different system, Pioneer, Sony, etc. With success ?

Thanks Coleman

Customer care said (I know you are looking for a more robust answer but the dealer is more prepared to address your concerns) I asked what I should do next and that was the reply. Just trying to ware you out and shut you up. Just fix the radio, but they cound' fix the lights either!

Yup, mine had another "update" still drops HD all over the place, and on non hd radio it still fades out after on the same channel for a minute or two. It also was stuck on the same song for two days according to the screen, I will say this I haven't really had anymore Bluetooth issues ;o(

My truck will randomly turn the RDS system off, and wont show anything. I will say that my radio has suddenly gotten "better" but it is still not fixed, remember "better" is a relative term, There is 1 station that I listen to that seems to not drop at all anymore (very rarely), another that does it once in a while, and a third that does it alot. atleast one of them is better lol

    • I’ve own several successful businesses. I’ve bought homes and lived in different states. I’d witness several generations buy homes and survive in different economic circumstances. You get awful sippy when people have different experiences than you do. You live a life. I’ve lived a life. It seems our experience has been different. You can point out generalized statistics. Some people learn how to thrive when the odds are against them. Living in different states does make a difference in a persons quality of life and economic outcomes and opportunities. That’s a fact Jack. It’s my truth, my life. Hard work and long hours the right environment made my families life easier. And yes moving to a different state increased the odds of that happening. Stats are generalized. People who thrive don’t make excuses. They beat the odds. Others get mad and point to those statistics. I guess that’s you. My post pointed out how you helped people beat the odds. Somehow your panties got in a wad. Go figure.
    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
    • Point of the post sir was that while both wages and cost are rising EVERYWHERE; the cost is rising faster EVERYWHERE than the ability to buy EVERYWHERE. We're not going down the location rabbit hole. I'm aware of what economic migration is. I've lived in four states including Texas.   It's what "Purchasing Power" means.   I'm not telling you what I think. I'm telling what the government, your government, data shows.   It wasn't an argument. It wasn't a suggestion. It was a statement of FACT. You are absolutely entitled to your own opinion. Your not entitled to your own facts. If you and I were, they wouldn't be facts.    fact /făkt/   noun Knowledge or information based on real occurrences. "an account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy." Something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed. "Genetic engineering is now a fact. • Probably a one and done post, but do you have a CEL on the dash? Was having issues with my transmission, fortunately only a week, and it turned out to be the transmission harness. Valve body was in good shape, so new harness with all the sensors attached, new fluid, and filter. Seems to have worked so far?
    • Two interesting tidbits of information which are NOT related were just released.   One, regarding the possible thrust bearing issues / engine failures with the 3.0. Demonworks just did a segment in which they believe they may have found "a" or "the" cause of thrust bearing failures: A missing thrust bearing. If the engine doesn't have all its thrust bearings from the factory, the missing bearing can cause extra play which ends up destroying a nearby thrust bearing which then sends metal through the engine.       Of other importance, Lake Speed Jr released some interest information regarding oil weight selection for the 3.0. Comparisons of:   AcDelco 0w20 Dexos D Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w20 Dexos D Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w30 Mobil 1 ESP x4 0w40. Mobil Delvac 5w40   Spoiler alert: The Mobils are PAO Ester -base and the ACDelco is a Group III base. Mobil shows lower wear in their tests for similar weights. Additive packages between 20-30-40 weight ESP's appear to be the same, but only 0w20 is Dexos D licensed. Wear is even more reduced with 30 and 40 weight ESP although all perform very well and resist shear and provide very similar viscosities within temperature operating ranges in the 3.0.   There are even more surprises, so just go watch it.
