Longest crew cab box?

So I'm looking to buy a used truck and I want a real man's truck. I have a concern though. I'm wondering if there exists a 2500 with crew cab and 8ft box? Basically the longest box they make plus the crew cab (4 door). Or do the longest boxes only come with the non-crew cab trucks? If there are box length options, how can I tell what I'm looking at in photos? I'm primarily looking for model years 2004-2007, fyi.

Thanks,

Hey thanls for the response. Sorry no dullies though lol. I do need a manual transmission and 4x4 though - hence nothing later than 2007 as I think that's the last year of manual transmissions.

I believe you can get a CC with 8 foot bed and single rear wheels, not sure though.

I think Dodge is your best bet for what you want. 4 doors and 8 foot bed and manual. Manuals didn't get bought in GMs because the Allison was/is the best pickup tranny on the market.

What are you going to use truck for? I wouldn't be afraid to pull day and night with the Allison tranny. Find a diesel or a truck with the 8.1. And yes crew cab with 8 ft beds are out there. Love mine.

In that year range...yes. 8ft box can be had on all cab configurations, reg, ext, and crew. 2500hd and 3500 single rear wheel and 3500 dual rear wheel.

Yes, as everyone else has said they are out three but hard to find. When I was looking for my truck that is what I wanted but their was not many on dealer lots when I was looking. Back in 68-69 they had a Longhorn version that had a 8.5 ft bed, that is the longest bed that I have seen on a regular pickup. :jester:

Thanks for the feedback. Now I begin my search. I like Matt's truck in the photo, except I'm not likely to pull stuff like that loader very often and I think the 6.0 is enough. Aside from not driving enough or pulling enough to justify Diesel, I also live in Minnesota. It was 5 degrees this morning and the fun is just getting started. But now if you could get one with a 6-71 Detroit Diesel I might entertain the thought. The total badass-ness of those engines might just make it worth the trouble... :)
