Add me to the list of shakers. Live in rural Iowa but just took it to Califonria, as soon as I hit the interstate above 75 the vibration started. I still had 3500 miles to go! The worst was at 82. Took it to the dealer today. They told me they had to wait to hear from GM??

Update,

Received my truck back from the dealership last week Friday with half the problem resolved. Dealership put almost 300 miles of testing within 20+ days of them working on it. GM engineer found the exhaust manifold was causing the vibration issue. They replaced the parts and now I am vibration free as long as I am driving in 6 cylinders. The moment it goes into 4 cylinders the vibration is back at the specific speeds of complaints. Dealership says that GM knows this is an issue and is working on a resolution but he does not have a time frame for the fix. I asked if they can disable the feature and he said that it’s a possible solution but cannot disable it until GM makes it official. I will update the post when I get a resolution for the 4 cylinder issue or if the vibration comes back in 6 cylinder mode.

Well, I had mentioned that I was done dealing with all of GM's BullSh*t, particularly after they told me that it was "normal operation" and they they wouldn't do anything. The lawfirm I had contacted called me back today, and they ARE interested in taking the class action case, they have already gotten some "experts" to look into ALL of the issues, I gave them a little more information, and they said that either one of their "upper level partners" or the "experts" will be contacting me in the next few weeks regarding the overall case.

Here we go, the ball is finally rolling

I finally found another dealership that is willing to really look at the truck. I have a GMC but taking it to a Chevy dealer that's 50 miles away. The Service Advisor was very quick to acknowledge that there are issues with the 2014s. I think I'm going to use this thread and make a checklist of all the things to look at. LOL. I drop off the truck tomorrow night.

I'm kind of curious to see how many other people following this thread have the 5.3 8cyl and are experiencing the same vibration issue.

I have a 5.3, but currently have a v6 for a loaner. The AFM vibe that comes from the v6 is entirely different than the vibe I get on my 5.3. The AFM vibe on the v6 is in the steering wheel and column. The vibe on my 5.3 appears to be coming from the rear of the truck and causing the center console to shake at 40mph and 75-80mph. The steering wheel on the 5.3 is solid in and out of AFM (for me anyway). The only thing I can feel is a slight surge when going into and out of AFM on the 5.3.

I have the same vibe but from 70-80. Have you noticed the vibe to be much worse during colder weather? Where I'm at the temp swings 35 degrees from when I go to work to when I come home, vibration is less severe in the afternoon .

    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
