Hey guys I have a 11, 2500 hd leveled I have 275 70 17s on it now stock gm aluminum rims. Been looking for rims for it. I think the stock rims are 7" wide. Would like to get 9" ones. What offset am i looking for? I keep hearing different numbers. I guess I could jump to 18s and buy a tire and rim combo. I am looking to just get a better stance I guess is the word im trying to explain. Anyone have pics of their 2500s?

0 offest will put a 275 about a 1/2 inch maybe a little less past the fender, neg12 offset will put the tire about 3/4 to inch past the fender. Both look good imo.

If i remember right the factory offset is +22 or something like that so anything less than that will widen the stance.

The factory rims are +31mm offset. A 9" wide rim with somewhere around +18mm offset will give you a better stance, but still keep your tires tucked inside your fenders. A zero offset or anything negative will make them stick out.

Thanks Whiskey.

I was just quoted buy a wheel and tire place for a +1mm tire and wheel package. It was a LT 275/75R18 size tire. Trying to figure out what that would look like. I thought Id be in the +12 range to get the look I wanted. just sticking out a bit. I have the 17" stock rims now with 285 75r17s on it now. I like the tire size just wish rims where 9" think they are 7s

A 9" wide, +1mm offset will put your tires right at the edge of your fenders....or just a bit outside. If you're wanting them tucked inside the fenders, tell the shop you want a more positive offset. And, are you sure that's the right tire size? A 275/75/18 is very uncommon. A 275/70/18 is much more popular.

You didn't say if your truck has fender flares or not. If you do you will want 0 or -12 offset
