New to the forums figures I would chronicle my Chevy build here. Came over from a 2013 Tacoma. I’ve done a few mods, much more planned on the way so I’ll crate a new thread to track the build in case anyone is interested.

This is my old set up, so stock TB suspension. The tires are 35x12.5 and I was running 1.25” spacers w/ the OEM TB wheels. The wheels tires and spacers are for sale.

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.  Had my 2020 LT Trail Boss for about 6 weeks but finally got wheels and tires and she’s looking good now.  Love the truck so far!  Hit some trails and got her dirty for the first time today..

1.5” Motofab level kit

17x8.5” / 0 offset Icon Compression wheels

35x12.5” BFG KM3

I was able to remove the fender liner bracket, trim the mud flaps and pin the liner back.. Able to go lock to lock no rubbing at all..

Other small mods-

20% Front tint

LED license plate lights
Black lugs

Rear recovery hook

That’s the look I want on my 2020 TB... do the tires rub on the the upper control arms???

Aggressive looking ... we’re wheel spacers needed to avoid tire contact with upper control arms?

Just picked her up Friday. 2020 LT Trail Boss, 5.3 liter. Didn’t really want the running boards or sports bar, but stock was very limited and I really wanted the color and standard bed. I’m actually starting to like the look. I’m very happy so far. First Chevy. Coming from a Ram 1500.

What tonneau covers can I use with the sport bar?

I put on a Gator ETX soft roll-up tonneau cover on my Trail Boss short bed with sport bar.  I'm pretty happy with it and the price was right ($169).  They make one for the 6'6" bed for $209 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JQG3JK8/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1  It's not fancy, but it keeps everything in the bed dry.

I went with a Rough Country hard trifold. I have a thread on my build that'll show the result. I have the short bed. With your bed being longer you might be able to fully open the first portion and have it lay flat. That is irrelevant to me since I wanted something that'll lock down and keep my stuff secure, it's water resistant, and it's also very easy to remove and place in the bed if you suddenly need to carry something large. It just takes turning 4 knows, slide the tonneau towards you, and fold over. Once it's folded and secured via the straps and buckles that are installed you can lift it and place it in your bed. I had to do this about a month ago when we bought a new full size bed and box spring for our son. The tonneau being in the bed, and the mounting rails still installed, didn't affect our ability to transport the bed (and a 75" tv we bought on a whim).

It's not a long thread, so you should be able to find the tonneau cover pics quickly.
