Found a YouTube video of a guy involved in an accident in the new Silverado and walked away without a scratch. Looks like the engineers did something right!

Not sure where you are getting your info from, but neither the IIHS nor the NTSB has released any crash test results for the new Silverado or Sierra. I expect that the new frame and body styles will indeed get five stars.
