ADAS system recalibration after windshield replacement

Hi, 

just replaced the windshield on my 15 Yukon and the guy told me that I might need to recalibrate my adas systems ad rain sensors. 

Did anybody here had to go through this process? I’ve actually called the dealer which told me that 99% of the times there is no need to recalibrate the system...

GM lists to program only if its being replaced (original failed and new installed).

I did not when my windshield was replaced. I’ve heard you can disconnect the negative battery cable for a bit to reset it as well, but don’t know if that actually works.

Does the system works without issues?

I had the windshield replaced in my '17 Silverado LTZ about 3 weeks ago.  Safelite did the recalibration as part of the replacement process.

 

Only caveat was I had to have the replacement done at the shop....apparently they don't have whatever they need to recalibrate it on their mobile trucks.

 

Works fine now.

Just an update. The windshield was replaced and no recalibration was needed. Everything works as it should
