this is what I found. looks like the mesh is apart if the grill and the gloss black is a piece that is on over it. d8ce255c268df4100e5d12fbd373115e.jpg051af738c95dc1bf12841cd60ab1f58c.jpged1d069404ac108baca6ee81a4629032.jpg

Oh nice! What Im currently thinking is to laser  cut to size either my ABS Plastic backed with 3M Foam tape and place it over the mesh like drawn in the image below or put some thicker acrylic plates there and also hold it with 3M tape with some led’s if its a large enough space.

The hardest part would be to get someone to take apart their grill, and make a accurate cardboard copy of where the plastic covers should go.

Yes! With that part I would need it to make a design in CAD to try and cut a fitting part

I want to try to be the first to do this but it’s fairly difficult as I dont know if the mesh parts “pop out” of the grill or if they are fused into the grill

They are fused into the grill. The part that has the letters is a plastic bar that clips onto the grill.

Hey fellas. I’m new to this thread so I thought I’d share what I did to my truck. I know it’s hard to see but I didn’t use a metal plate. I used a can of PlastiDip with multiple layers so it would stand out. And trust me, it stands out. I get so many compliments and it looks way better than having a bow tie like the LT has.

Looks great. I did mine white to match the truck but after seeing yours contemplating redoing it red! Nice job.

I found someone that will make this happen. This is my truck after I had the insert built. They can do any color or custom if you choose. It is made out of aluminum, so it is done right and will last. They will ship to you as well!

I found someone that will do the insert in the grill to change the look. Any color and design. They do high quality work! Inserts start at $65.00. Give Kevin a call or email him. I got mine done today.
