194k miles. Transmission starting to fail.

I just dropped my pan and changed the fluid and filter at 125k miles.. Fluid was damn near black, I am assuming it was never done. Trans shifts great after the fluid change..

change the fluid again in about 5000-10000 miles if you did not flush it, there will still be plenty of old crap in there from your drop n fill.

Hello, guys. I bought a 2015 Chevy Sliverodo brand new.. this year on New Years day.. the truck randomly stopped moving, it would not go into any gears.. took it to Chevy on a flatbed, they said the truck 5 years old would need a transmission replacement. $7200.00.  

 

ONLY 198.****** KMS on truck. 

 

Got it towed to the best tranny specialist in my provience Rick Rood, Rods transmission.  He mention he seen this happen to a lot of the newer chevy GMCs.. he said when the truck moves cycles to save gas every time you slow down it harms the transmission pump, eventually causing the tranny to fail.  He rebuilt my tranny and tuned it to only use V8  and I was back on the road again in 4 days, $5000.00 later . !!   

 

SO MAKE SURE WHEN BUYING USED TRUCK 2014 on ward. EXTENED warranty's ONLY .. THEY BUILT THEM TO FAIL>.< there was a lawsuit but it was kept quiet !
