3.0L duramax

So I'm getting a leveling kit installed on my truck soon and thinking about running 33x12.55R20. Anyone running 33's and how does your shift points feel? Also is anyone making an exhaust for the 3.0 duramax or a tuner? Any information will help.

Aren't at least half of the stock tires 33s?

Stock 20s are 33”. 22s are very close. 18s are like an inch shorter than the others.

 

I haven’t seen anything aftermarket for the baby Duramax but I would think twice before voiding the warranty on that puppy. It’s totally unproven at this point. Stuff could get really expensive.

Hopefully your tire choice doesn't add a ton of weight. Too many people over look that part of tires. Heavy tires hurt performance, ride quality and fuel mileage.

32's. Checked the other day.

No one makes mods for the 3.0 right now, plus there is no muffler even down there.  Take a look under, and all that is there is piping after the DPF/cat

If I recall correctly, the 17 and 18" wheels have 32" tires and the 20 and 22" wheels have 33" tires.

If you have the 275/60/R20 that is a 33" tire..
