How to retrieve check engine code without scanner on 2019 silverado

How do I retrieve check engine code without scanner on 2019 silverado.   My old dodge I could turn the ignition key several times to get check engine light codes.  My new silverado is push button?  Any help is appreciated.

I don't believe you can without and OBD2 reader.  You can call onstar and have them give you the codes.

OnStar or drop by Orielly's, Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, etc and get one of the parts pullers to scan it for you.

Yeah, you need a scanner.  Note, there are a number of computers in your truck (10+), and cheap scanners will only read one, then as you get into more expensive ones, they'll add a couple more (ABS, airbags, transmission), and perhaps live data, then more expensive ones will read codes from all the computers in your truck and also perform a variety of diagnostic and repair procedures.
