You probably had the 45 series 22's. The '19 50 series tire type and brand tells the story. Not just 20" to 22". I've had 20''s that were harsh and rode like crap and had 20's that rode great. I've had 22" 45 series Coopers that were harsh. The 50 series Michelin 22's ride amazing. That's fact.2 points

I’m a fan of high performance vehicles. Had a Shelby Ford truck in front of me at a light, nice looking. Bought plenty of numbered, lettered vehicles truck and cars over the years. The problem with most of these vehicles is they add an aftermarket package that add costs that really doesn’t add to the driving experience. Usually I just wanted a little more acceleration to get up to speed. I didn’t need bigger brakes, auto cross suspension and certainly didn’t want to advertise their products. Here I am, come steal my truck.2 points

Awesome article. I really appreciate all you did!!! so far mine is good. I hv driven GM vehicles for 15 years and I do not want to change. But, I have to have brakes & steering. They need to test the recall software updates On their test vehicles first. I pay attention to all updates now. thank u again for having the knowledge and courage to take this on!2 points

I got the update yesterday as well. Was really wishing they included the rear window leak bug fix in this release. Maybe it'll be in the next update.2 points

Anyone taken the multi pro tailgate off the yet? I need to put my camper on and the tailgate needs to be off. Is it just a matter of disconnecting the camera wiring from under the back of the truck and then removing it at the 45 degree angle? Thanks in advance!1 point

I had the 20" Baja Designs S8 kit installed: https//www.bajadesigns.com/products/Chevy-Silverado-1500-2019-S8-Grille-Mount-w-20-S8.asp Also did the Baja Designs squadron pro pillar lights: https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Chevy-Silverado-1500-2019-A-Pillar-Kits.asp I paid to have everything installed, so I can't speak to the installation per se, but everything fits perfect. I do know that the grill light mounting kit won't work for the LTZ or high country grill, as another user experienced, but worked perfect in my Trail Boss. I bought the switches and plate from https://billetautomotivebuttons.com/ and choose the colored LED buttons that light up when pressed.1 point

I can’t believe you were stuck with v803 all of this time. That was the absolute worst version I used by a long shot. Congratulations! I’m still awaiting my turn for 807, but I’m also happy with 805 so no rush...you 803 guys need it a whole lot more...1 point

All good answers above. How long do you plan on keeping your truck? Are you going to be going by the oil life monitor, "OLM"?1 point

Sorry about your predicament. Have you had any brake TSBs or recalls done since Dec 1 2019? There was one recall N192268090 that GM was performing at that time which caused a failure of the brakes. This failure could be greatly induced by the owner using the Onstar Remote App to start the vehicle. GM came out with a TSB PIT5728A that stated that. GM then released TSB PIT5728B which fixed the problem created by N192268090. There was a article in the Detroit Free Press today about this same problem. So if this situation fits you, have the dealership look into applying PIT5728B.1 point

Of course they unveiled it at Barrett-Jackson, that's holy ground for the chubby, balding, white New Balance, golf or Corvette shirt tucked into jean shorts crowd this thing was built for.1 point

$95,000! Somebody has been hit' n the crack pipe. Seriously. Putting a "Harley" branded logo on a dollar Hershey bar doesn't make a $5 candy bar. Not even on a BDS lifted paper plate. If you like Harley that much just hand them the passwords to your bank accounts. Ego???1 point

LS1's dominated untill 2003 when the 03 Cobra came out. Man i miss those days . Too bad GM still cant make a interior Remember the HUMP on the passenger side? lmao1 point

I don't understand how they can say the issue was caused by the recent update when people on here have reported having the issue before having that update. That and the mention of using remote start, when once again people have reported getting the issue without using remote start. As a programmer myself I know how difficult it is to fix a problem when you don't know what causes it and it seems like they don't really know the cause here.1 point

I was interviewed for a story on this, coming out in the next day or so. GM is supposedly going to issue a new recall for all the 2019 to correct this. In the meantime we're all R&D dummies for GM.1 point

One told me the same thing. There was a white high country in there. I casually asked why it was in and the rear window leaked. Last time I spoke with them they said there had been 8-10 that had come through leaking. They caulked them all and said mine is the only one they’ve had trouble with.1 point

Even if just leveling your TB upper arms are recommended. If you just want to level the Ready Lift SST kit is the best bang for the buck - $510 plus tax, free shipping from Tire Rack for the AT4/TB. If you want to add upgraded shocks down the road you could, but it would not be as "complete" a designed system as BDS is offering - so you just have to decide how many $ you want to spend the pick your best option. Ready Lift Leveling Kit Link: https://www.readylift.com/at4-trail-boss-plus-2-0-sst-lift-kit-gm-1500-at4-trail-boss-4wd-2019.html Watch this video from Ready Lift as to why you need to add upper control arms - you are correcting geometry the stock upper arm can't handle. Personally I didn't really notice a difference in unloaded ride quality but at the same time I came from driving a 3/4 ton diesel. Someone was talking about a weight distribution hitch and you are correct about not needing airbags with it. I use my air bags for very short distance trips where I'll end up hauling close to 15k ibs aside from that I just like them to reduce the sag.1 point

RPO IOS and IOT are user OTA updatable. IOR is not. IOR is the standard radio on RST. IOS comes in Convenience Package II and includes Bose and a bunch of other little things.1 point

That's unfortunate you can't notice the difference but you're clearly not very savy with ride quality. If you think 22s ride the same as 18s....yikes1 point

"Screams I don't use my truck as a truck" [emoji23] My lowered truck on 22's is a full time service vehicle (money maker). It also tows an 8,000lb 24 foot racecar trailer up and down the East coast. So how do you use your truck "as a truck"? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk1 point

For those who want transparent trailer to work on conventional trailers, I have attached the trailer camera install location. Before purchasing the camera you may want to check this location on your trailer and see if it will work. You can mount the trailer camera in other locations but the transparent view will not be available. #iworkforGM Camera Install Instructions.pdf1 point

Folks, we can all post on these forums until the cows come home but it won't mean squat except to aid in the venting process...report ALL problems so there can be a collective information data report that can actually be reviewed and possibly put pressure on any manufacturer for a fix. https://www.nhtsa.gov1 point

I know you guys will think I’m crazy but I fly for the Military in a fully digital cockpit. If we rush certain things on startup or change one step during the display boot sequence it can cause a number of issues that manifest during flight. This will cause us to either have to reset certain systems by pulling circuit breakers or shut down the aircraft and remove battery power then attempt to restart. Reading about the issue in that link seems like exactly the same issue. Most of these result around BUS driven electronics that require complex communication between different pieces of hardware. You might be mad that a $60k truck has these issues but I fly million dollar aircraft that experience the same issues.1 point
