My next truck will be a Ford too....... however I will not be driving it as I will be buying it for company employees to run..... I am personally stocking up on GMT800 1500HD's and 2500 LD's so I can drive them forever, lol.

 

Either way I want an EcoBoost but the Ford forums are kind of discouraging. Even the 2013's are have the CAC ( Intercooler) condensation issues and Ford doesn't seem to be in any hurry to fix it. The 5.0 and 6.2 are pretty solid though..... so probably a 6.2 F150 will be the route I go, only until the Ecoboost gets sorted out.

Enjoy your 36,000 mile warranties Ford converts. I'll give it to you though, the extra leg room in the cab is tempting. A V6 whining is not attractive though.

I just really don't care for twin turbo v-6's in a truck, as previously stated, though I would be delighted for twin T V8's! If only some kind of break through with TT's on a v-8 getting 30mpg highway and 22 mpg city, those numbers are random and seem more realistic to myself though technology doesn't seem to agree, or physics lol.

Ford has a 5//60,000 mile power train warranty. And if I got an F-150 it'd be with a V8. I don't buy trucks to be good on gas.

Wasn't aware of the 60,000 mile warranty. Still. Dodge and GM offer 100K and most of my local Toyota dealers offer 100K warranties of some sort, not factory.

Dealer warranties are worthless anyhow. As for the warranty difference, that had zero weight in choosing Chevy over Ford.

7.3's are great engines.. its just hard to find a clean unmolested one.

If I were in the market for a diesel it would be a Dodge/Ram. I have a 97 2500 4x4 with the Cummins now. Its a regular cab too with long bed. Sweet ride with some 285/75-16 Yokohama tires. One of my employees drives it every day. 400,000 or so on original engine. 3 trannies though.

Means nothing to me if the warranty is longer or not along with most people, all they do is give you the run around anyway...I have more faith in the Ford then the GM anyway... the GMT 900 is probably the worst truck GM built in along time

The titan minus the drab interior and terrible fuel mileage overall doesn't seem to be that bad of a truck... rear end troubles have been fixed and the few people I knew that ever had one loved them
