Had a couple of hours...LOL...So I removed the front seats again to put the carpet back and start putting my truck back together... what happened instead? LOL.

Dropped the headliner instead to finish Sound Deadening the roof. Since I had all the bottom half pillar panels off, it didn’t make sense to put the carpets back in then have to take things off again to drop the Headliner.

I also wanted to see if I could completely remove the headliner through the back door. It was really close but didn’t want to take the chance of creasing it. Also, doing this by yourself is a PITA! It’s like hanging ceiling rock and trying to screw it in at the same time.

Anyhow - roof sound Deadening is done. I installed the Flip Down Bracket. I’ll cut the hole tomorrow and get a harness built.

Got new shoes, washed and waxed, traded window trim with a fellow member, drove all the way to Florida, and ruined my detailing job by driving through a rain storm. 7407ecbeb2a04fa324c39b8502d664f8.jpga8c688fe85ae4a65d5df3d31fc219e4c.jpg

Key question...... does the sound deadening really make a difference? Have you tried it out with that installed?

Swapped stock muffler with Magnaflow 12909 (Dan Fast Muffler is a great shop in Seattle area), deleted the flapper valve, added black tip; installed a Black Bear Performance ECM only tune. Sound is good. Could be a little louder at idle, but plenty sweet at WOT. Louder in cab for sure, but no longer notice the loud part, just the better sound part. Kept the AFM enabled for now, and don't notice it. Love the tune! Makes the truck respond so much cleaner and faster.

RC .25in front spacers came today. That should give me the clearance I need to stop rubbing on full lock hopefully.

Just ordered 4.10 Yukon gears for the beast.

I’m stupid excited to upgrade from 3.40 to 4.10 with the 6” lift.

I don’t really understand that kind of stuff. What would this do?

Lowering the axle ratio (number is higher) makes the gears shorter so you can get up to RPM faster, tow more, have more low end torque, and more fun! But it reduces your MPG and you'll be revving higher in your last gear while cruising on the highway.
