Plugging away. Heads off. 1 bent pushrod, in addition to my broken one. Cylinder 4 and 5. Lifters weren't stuck. Everything else looks fine (Pistons, cylinders, valves, etc). Guessing AFM lifters got sticky at one point and freed up? Over rev? Who knows.

Been pretty busy lately so not much done to the truck. New tires are next on the list before winter flies. Got one last ride in this past weekend though!

Gave my truck a nice thorough wash this morning! Probably one of the last nice days before the cold rolls in, so I wanted to make use of it. ?

put some Amazon gun metal inserts on, they seem kind of iffy out of the packaging but they stuck on ok and didn't scratch up the second I rubbed on them, time will tell. there are various colors available if you poke around, there like $25

Took some things over to my mom's that required the cover folded, so I used the shopvac to clean the bed once back home. Its surprising whatb ends up along the front of the box even with it usually covered.

Periodically research leads me over to forums of other makes/models of trucks. I've seen many Tundra owners mention removing the front sway bar makes for a much more compliant ride with little downside. I guess we'll see! I took mine off tonight. It took about 5 minutes from start to finish including putting my tools away.

Drove around the block because I needed to repark my truck in the driveway, but too soon to give a solid feel for what it did.

I ran across a nice deal on an Undercover Flex bed cover so I ditched the tool box I had before.c17c866a759e1a2bf4099b2ae019a77c.jpg

Got really lucky and caught this number just before I pulled out of the driveway the other day. Hard to believe it's been that far already.

dropped it off at the dealer, been having this issue when it is cold out and first run of the day, after that it only does it random

radio audio cuts out and cluster goes coo-coo, sometimes the hvac cuts off and restarts, then it goes back to normal.

it only does it almost always when it is cold and much less when warmed up so high resistance battery cables doesn't seem to be the problem, battery is new and it did it with the old battery also

battery fuse center is new also and everything is good and tight. starts and drivers perfect every time just the electronics going crazy

dealer is replacing the cluster they seem to think that may be the problem when I took it in they tried to re-program the cluster and it wouldn't program

the cluster, steering wheel and radio are connected thru the most buss so maybe this will fix the issue, well see what happens

got it back from the dealer this morning, so far it appears that replacing the cluster fixed the problems, the problem was sometimes intermittent but it acted fine all day today.

Not today, but yesterday, drained/refilled the diffs, trans, and xfer case.  For those considering a trans pan drop, using a pump to remove as much fluid as possible through the fill tube is a must. Spilled almost none when dropping the pan. Thanks to all who previously mentioned this process.
