I'm always working on it but for foreseeable future those are the options that made the production cut.

 

The open source aspect doesn't matter at all in this case (or any other OEM module I've encountered). You can grab the open source portions of it as required by the OSS agreements but its all the off the shelf stuff that doesn't do anything specific for vehicles like busy box. All of the vehicle specific stuff IE the stuff that actually does stuff the assets etc is not open source.

he says there's a way to jump pins so truck will run with no issues... No worries I have confident he will ship it fast.... There's always overnight shipping

All you have to do is jump two pins on one HMI connector and its fine, tons of people have done it.

I sent my HMI module to Chris to have him reprogram it. I love it, he keeps it looking stock, adds text messaging app ( which is cool) and all the locks are gone and video. I don't have nav but I know from others he takes that lock off also.

 

I have my videos playing on my USB flash drive, I haven't tried it on sd card yet.

 

Note when video is playing and truck is thrown it reverse the camera overrides video. If anyone was wondering.

What do you mean two pins and where exactly? How do these pins look like.... sorry for all the questions im not very tech savvy when it comes to this kind of stuff.... im interested in this hmi upgrade. Thanks!
